As part of the celebration of the 59th Canonical Er****on Anniversary of the Diocese of Butuan, the clergy gathered for a Pickleball Mini-Tournament at San Vicente Ferrer Parish.

As the Diocese continues its journey toward its 60th anniversary and the First Diocesan Synod, may moments like these continue to build communion among those called to serve the People of God.

The San Vicente Ferrer Parish Youth Council proudly joined the Tree Planting & Growing Activity spearheaded by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) as part of the celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026.

Every tree planted is a reminder that small acts of service today help build a stronger and more sustainable tomorrow. Together, let us continue to grow in faith, service, and responsibility for God's creation. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

JULY I MONTH OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

As we begin the month of July, the Church invites us to deepen our devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ the priceless gift of love poured out for our salvation.

The Blood of Jesus, shed on the Cross, is a sign of His mercy, forgiveness, and victory over sin and darkness. Through His Precious Blood, we are reminded that Christ never abandons His people and continues to offer healing, hope, and new life.

May this month lead us closer to the Heart of Jesus and inspire us to live as faithful disciples, sharing His love through compassion, service, and evangelization.

Prayer to the Precious Blood of Jesus

Lord Jesus, by faith in Your merits, I sprinkle Your Precious Blood over myself, my family, and my home. I claim Your total protection from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. Wash away my sins, and keep me free from all evil, fear, and harm. Amen.

Today, the Catholic Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, a Holy Day of Obligation and one of the great feasts of the Church. We honor these two pillars of the Christian faith whose martyrdom became a witness of complete love and fidelity to Christ.

Saint Peter, entrusted by Jesus with the keys of the Kingdom, became the visible foundation of the Church. Saint Paul, the great missionary to the nations, proclaimed the Gospel with courage and zeal. Though different in mission, both became united in one faith, one Church, and one Lord.

On this solemn day, the Church also offers special prayers for our Holy Father, Pope Leo, successor of Saint Peter, that he may continue to shepherd Godโ€™s people with wisdom, humility, and faithfulness.

May the witness of Saints Peter and Paul inspire us to remain steadfast in faith, bold in evangelization, and faithful disciples of Christ.

On June 20, San Vicente Ferrer Parish conducted its Parish Synod Consultation with the participation of various sectors of the parish community.

Through attentive listening, and meaningful dialogue, the participants shared their experiences, insights, and aspirations as part of the continuing Synodal journey of the Church. Guided by the values of participation and mission, this gathering fostered a deeper sense of unity and strengthened the commitment of the faithful to walk together as one community in Christ.
