PH secures P56.3-B investment, 10,300 jobs during Japan state visit, says DTI
•From May 26-29, 2026 President Bongbong Marcos, his wife Liza Marcos and other Philippine delegates visited Japan at the invitation of Japanese government.
• Philippines engaged on business meetings with 4 Japanese Companies namely: Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., MinebeaMitsumi, and Tsuneishi Group Corporation.
•According Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Maria Cristina Roque MinebeaMitsumi has invested P30 billion and the Tsuneishi Group Corporation has invested P10 billion and is awaiting the President’s approval for its shipyard in Balamban, Cebu. “So, this is a total of Php 56.3 billion and 10, 300 jobs”, Roque said.
