When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 8:10-11 KJV

It is not whether or not others condemn us, but whether God condemns us that counts. He who does not believe in Jesus is "condemned already" (John 3:18), but there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The crowd dropped their stones and withdrew, seeing they were sinners themselves. But Jesus, who was without sin, let the woman go out of pure mercy.

Prayer :
Help us, O Lord, to remember that not to us but to you men must answer for their actions and attitudes. We are not the judges, but you are the Just Judge of all men. Our judgment fell on Christ, your justice being satisfied in his sacrifice. We pray for those who do not know you that they may turn to you before it is too late to escape your judgment. Amen.

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 12:46 KJV

Darkness today surrounds us just as in the Old and New Testaments. Our beliefs are daily challenged, and our faith often called into question. The light in this world is the word and those who share it, be it in our Churches, as missionaries, or simply just in the workplace or school. Christ is our beacon, he is our light. The world may be dark, but we may never lose sight of where our eternal lies.

Prayer:
Dear God, I thank you that when it comes to following your way, I have nothing to worry about because you have taken care of anything. I know that your word will be confirmed, no matter who may or may not believe it in my life. Because of this, I choose to move forward in the path you have set out for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:5-6 KJV

There is a special bond between Christians of all denominations. No matter our language or customs, we all share one mouth that we use to glorify God. I am reminded of the phrase used throughout American history, E Pluribus Unum. Through many, one. God believers' numbers are many, but the message is one. The God is one. Thanks be to God!

PRAYERS
Giver of light and my refuge, I am grateful that You have surrounded me with other loving and passionate members, O Lord. Give us the wisdom and humility to approach one another with grace and understanding that it is not a competition between believers. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

When we call on the LORD, He answers! Beyond that, He will show us great things that aren't even on our radar. God is so good. Seek Him. You will never regret seeking the LORD. He is good, faithful, and true. Get excited for whatever it is God will show you when you call on His name.

Prayer :
LORD, I know You exist. I know You are God. I want to know You better. I want to know You more than anyone else in my life. When I have something exciting to share, I want my instinct to be to share it with You first. You are too good to me. You are full of mysteries, and I am excited to learn more of them from You. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5 KJV

We cannot allow ourselves envy, for it corrodes not only our relationships with others but also the things we already have. The end result is that we neglect to value and appreciate things already in our possession, and thus in turn, being ungrateful to the Lord himself for what he has provided. Rather, our energy would be better placed to focus on giving thanks to the Lord and his gifts, here and now.

Prayer :
To my Lord above, my Creator and Heavenly Father, by your grace do I come to thank you for all I have. Teach me not to covet others and their lot, but grant me instead the ability to Love and see the blessings you have already bestowed upon me. Though the shepherds were startled and afraid by the angel, they could hardly be blamed perhaps for not recognizing the absolute significance of the events that were coming to faithfully unfold in front of their eyes that very night. Little did it perhaps yet dawn on them what miraculous event was coming to pass. However, can we even now dare to fully comprehend the magnitude of Christ's teaching and salvation? Have you truly considered its implications for your life? Be not like the shepherds, for one has already heard their good news. Rather build upon this faith, serve it by meditation on God's divine grace, and go forth, knowing the divine word of Christ!

Prayer:
God my Almighty, whose blessed angels sing your praises and fills the ears of all good men with your news, grant me strength to further your cause of entering into the hearts of men. Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14 KJV

Immanuel, as rendered here and in the gospel of Matthew from the original Hebrew, often translates to "God is with us" -marking the name foretold in the Old Testament of our Messiah and Savior, Jesus Christ. Indeed, God is and always has been with us. May his message of goodness and compassion shine through to our current age, where his name is still as relevant as ever.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Matthew 7:28-29

The scribes could only teach in the synagogue saying, "the Scripture says this or that" or "the rabbis say such and such, " but Jesus taught as one having personal authority. He was not a mere scribe, nor even only a prophet, but the very Son of God.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, you are the authoritative Son of God, and your Word is Law. You bring us the Words of the Father and you are the Word of the Father. We know that you have the Words of Life, and that salvation is to be found in no other. Help us to pay careful attention to your Words and teachings, knowing from whom they come. Amen.

Some days, it seems the impossible just keeps mounting up. For some, it can even seem as though all hope is lost. The strength that God provides is unfathomable, much greater than any hopelessness anyone has ever experienced. God does not want us to fear, even when we don't know the solution to our most pressing problems. He will be there with his mighty hand if we remain in him.

Prayer:
Oh heavenly Lord and savior, I praise Your holy name. You are there for me when I need you most. You hold my hand through the hard times and You wrap me under Your wing when I am cold. I know that there is nothing You cannot do, and I will not fear. I will be without worry as long as You are my God. Amen.

God has always kept his promises to us, to a thousand generations (Deuteronomy 7:9). He always hears when we ask anything to him (1 John 5: 14-15). Our God is just and fair. He will forgive you if you ask, he will listen when you pray. Whether you do those things is entirely up to you.

Prayer
Lord, how can I ever repay my life debt to you? Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Jesus' time on earth was a learning experience for all sides. Although God created everything, he had never experienced life as a mortal man. Knowing what He could gain from this experience, God sent his only son to us so that we could better understand Him. Trust in Jesus and be saved completely!

Prayer:
Precious God, You knew your son Jesus would die for us. We are sinners, and You chose to help us live a life that is more holy through the sacrifice of Your only begotten son. Forgive us for trespassing against You in the first place, O Lord! Today I pray that I may dutifully fulfill my obligation to You, by living in a godly and respectful way, carrying out Your commandments. I love You, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and all people as You have taught me. Thank you for loving me. Amen.
