Title: The Reaction To Jesus' Resurrection
Text: John 20:11-18

Introduction: "The entire plan for the future has its key in the resurrection."

The first WITNESS to Jesus' Resurrection was a WOMAN. She was Mary Magdalene who was immediately MANDATED by the Lord Jesus Christ to a very important MINISTRY.

1. The SORROW Of Mary Magdalene
*verse 11, (the disciples WENT homes but Mary stayed and WEEPS)

2. The SEARCHING Of Mary Magdalene
*verses 12-13, (she was ASKED by the ANGELS)

3. The SURPRISED To Mary Magdalene
a. About her ERROR
*verses 14-15, (Jesus suddenly APPEARS and Mary ASSUMED Him for the gardener)

Note: Like Mary, let us be excited to tell the world that the Lord Jesus Christ was
R-I-S-E-N!

R-EDEMPTION of us now assured
Note: Jesus' death COMPLETED our salvation and His resurrection CONFIRMS it.

*1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the Resurrection of the Lord was so important element to Paul's preaching of the gospel.

I-NTEGRITY of our faith was confirmed
Note: The Resurrection of the Lord is TANTAMOUNT to the TRUTHFULNESS of our faith.

*1 Corinthians 15:4-8, the Resurrection of the Lord was testified by the Scriptures and by so many witnesses.

S-IN'S power was defeated and destroyed
Note: Both physical and spiritual DEATH have been DISSOLVED by the Resurrection of the Lord.

*1 Corinthians 15:54-56, the Resurrection of the Lord swallowed up death in victory so it's sting and power are gone.

E-NSURES our own resurrection too
Note: The Resurrection of the Lord should remove our DOUBT of what will happen to us after we DIE.

*1 Corinthians 15:12-13 & 20, Paul testifies the Resurrection of the Lord ensures that the dead who believe in Him will also be resurrected.

N-EWNESS of our lives must emerge
Note: The Resurrection of the Lord should not only give us HOPE for the future, but HOLY living at present.

*1 Corinthians 15:31-34, Paul said that if we are not to be resurrected for a better life, we should simply live the way of life of the worldly.

Conclusion: Let the Resurrection of the Lord and ours in the future transformed our DESPAIR or DISMAY into COURAGE and CONFIDENCE in everyday living.

1.) We are completely restored.

*Our connection through bible and prayers.
2.) We are completely forgiven.

Text: Ephesians 2:1-10

We are M-A-D-E B-E-S-T.

M-INISTERED because of our sins
*verse 1, (we are DEAD due to our DISOBEDIENCE)
"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,"

A-LIVE in the Lord Jesus Christ
*verse 5, (the GRACE of GOD saved us)
"Made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved."

D-IRECTION for living
*verse 2, (FORMERLY, we FOLLOW the ways of the world)
"In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient."

E-XEMPT from God's wrath
*verse 3, (BEFORE, we BELONGED to those who are punishable)
"All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath."

B-ESTOWED great love and rich mercy
*verse 4, (GOD is rich in GRACE and mercy)
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,"

E-LEVATED in status in life
*verses 6-7, (RAISED us up in heavenly REALMS)
"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."

S-AVED through faith
*verses 8-9, (salvation is a GIFT of GOD)
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

T-ASKED to do excellent works
*verse 10, (we are MANDATED before the world was MADE)
"For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Conclusion: As God's masterpieces, we are restored and saved by His mercy and grace. We are made best to do the best, equipped for good works that bring glory to Him. Praise the Lord for His redeeming love!
