Sproul reminds us that ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง โ€”it is a true science, a disciplined pursuit of knowing God as He has revealed Himself. Unlike worldly sciences that constantly change, theology rests on ๐†๐จ๐โ€™๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐.

Scripture, rightly studied, is ๐œ๐จ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ, ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐ž๐, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ for teaching, correcting, and training us in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16โ€“17).

We value theology not for novelty, but for ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌโ€”listening to Scripture, learning from the church throughout history, and growing in sound doctrine that leads to godly living. Theology isnโ€™t optional for Christians; the real question is whether our theology is ๐›๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฎ๐ง๐›๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ.

Our first Youth Fellowship of the year began with a commitment to sit under the Word of God and grow in the knowledge of Him who has made Himself known. Guided by ๐˜Œ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆโ€™๐˜ด ๐˜ข ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ฏ ๐˜ฃ๐˜บ ๐˜™.๐˜Š. ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ญ. We reflected on the truth that all people are theologians by necessity and considered both the blessing and responsibility of knowing and thinking rightly about God according to His Word.
