FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY l September 8

“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.” ~ Matthew 1: 1-16, 18-23

A PRAYER ON MAMA MARY'S BIRTHDAY

My Lord and my God,
As we celebrate the birthday of our Blessed Mother Mary,
we thank You for the beautiful gift of her life.
Thank You for choosing Mary to be the Mother of Your Son,
and for giving her to us as our Mother.
Lord, on her birthday,
we may wonder what gift we can give her.
But today we realize that
Mary is still the one giving us a gift, Jesus.
Through her, You have given us
the gift of faith to believe,
the gift of hope to continue,
the gift of joy even in the midst of sorrow,
and the gift of courage to trust Your plan.
Lord, teach us to become like Mary.
When we do not understand,
teach us to trust.
When we are afraid,
teach us to say, “Let it be done to me according to Your word.”
When we are suffering,
teach us to remain faithful.
When we are surrounded by darkness,
teach us to carry Your light.
Make us instruments of hope
to those who have lost hope.
Make us instruments of joy
to those who are carrying sorrow.
Make us instruments of courage
to those who are living in fear.
Amen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAMA MARY!💝
