With hearts full of faith and gratitude, the faithful of the St. Isidore the Farmer Parish are prayerfully invited to the 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, in celebration of the Memorial of our beloved patron saint.

This sacred occasion is also part of our spiritual preparation as we journey toward the 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of our parish in 2030 — a historic milestone of faith, mission, and community.

Please Note:
The sacred relic will be opened for public veneration 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟓, (5:45AM, 7:45AM, 10:00AM, and 4:30PM) giving the faithful an opportunity to personally come forward in prayer and devotion.

✠ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜?
A first-class relic is a physical part of a saint’s body, such as bone or flesh, preserved by the Church with utmost reverence. These relics remind us that the saints were real people who lived holy lives and became instruments of God’s grace.

✠ 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬?
The Church teaches that veneration is not worship. Worship belongs to God alone. Relics are honored because they connect us to the lives of the saints who faithfully followed Christ. Through their example and intercession, we are inspired to deepen our own faith and holiness.

As we honor St. Isidore the Farmer, patron of farmers, laborers, and humble workers, may we also renew our commitment to live lives rooted in prayer, hard work, humility, and trust in Divine Providence.

We invite everyone to come, pray, and venerate this sacred relic with faith and devotion.

Habemus Episcopum Novum!

In a moment of profound significance for the Church, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV today announced the appointment of Rev. Fr. Gerardo F. S**o Jr. as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Tagbilaran.

The announcement coincides with the celebration of the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord - a feast that commemorates the Incarnation of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary’s faithful “yes” to God’s will.

Fr. S**o, who currently serves as Diocesan Administrator, becomes the 8th Bishop of Tagbilaran, succeeding Alberto Uy (Bishop Abet Uy).

His appointment underscores continuity in leadership, as he has guided the diocese during the period of sede vacante. Widely regarded for his pastoral zeal, humility, and sound administrative leadership, Fr. S**o has earned the trust and respect of clergy, religious, and lay faithful throughout the Diocese of Tagbilaran.

The timing of the announcement on the Solemnity of the Annunciation carries deep spiritual significance, highlighting themes of vocation, obedience, and openness to God’s will - virtues essential to episcopal ministry as a successor of the Apostles.

The Diocese of Tagbilaran now looks forward with renewed hope as it prepares to welcome its new shepherd.

Further details regarding Bishop-elect S**o’s episcopal ordination and installation are expected to be announced in the coming days.

As the Church rejoices in this development, the faithful are encouraged to pray for Bishop-elect S**o - that, like the Blessed Virgin Mary, he may respond generously to God’s call and faithfully shepherd the flock entrusted to his care.
