Devotion by Bro. Gab Real

"So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth." — Revelation 3:16 (NIV)

In Revelation 3:16, we are warned against being lukewarm in our faith. This verse speaks to the importance of being fervent and passionate in our relationship with God. The imagery of being neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm, is a powerful metaphor for a faith that is indifferent or apathetic.

In the Christian life, our faith should keep growing and moving forward. When our faith becomes "lukewarm," it means we are becoming lazy or too comfortable, and that can be dangerous for our spiritual life. God wants a real and close relationship with us. He wants us to love Him with all our hearts, not just halfway.

So we should ask ourselves: Are we just going through the motions? Has our faith become a routine without excitement or passion? In today's world, it's easy to get distracted by things like work, social media, and daily responsibilities. Because of this, our relationship with God can slowly become weak.

To avoid this, we need to make an effort to grow closer to God. We can do this by praying regularly, reading the Bible, joining in worship, and helping others with love. When we do these things, our faith becomes strong again, and we stay active and committed to God.

Devotion from Sis. Matso Lintan Zorai

"The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!" Ruth 2:12

In this moment, Boaz recognizes something profound about Ruth. She didn't just move to a new country for better economic prospects; she moved to align her soul with the God of Israel. The picture Boaz uses, "taking refuge under His wings," is both tender and powerful. It paints a picture of a young bird finding safety from the storm beneath the strength of a parent.

Ruth was a widow, a foreigner, and needy. By worldly standards, she was completely exposed to the elements of life. Yet her faith transformed her vulnerability into a place of divine protection.

We often look for "refuge" in our bank accounts, our job security, or our social standing. But Ruth teaches us that true security isn't found in a change of circumstances; it's found in a change of allegiance. When we decide to trust God in the middle of our "bitter" chapters, we aren't just surviving. We are positioned for a "full reward."

Devotion from Bro. Ken Flores

S - Scripture
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Matthew 5:8

O - Observation
This verse is part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where He describes the attitudes and character of those who are truly blessed. To be "pure in heart" means to have a heart that is clean, sincere, and focused on God, not divided by selfish motives or sin. Jesus promises that those with a pure heart will experience God's presence more clearly and deeply.

A - Application
God cares most about what's happening in my heart. I might be able to hide things from people, but not from Him. I want to keep my heart clean, free from bitterness, pride, or distractions, so I can draw closer to Him. Each day, I need to ask Him to search my heart and help me live with honesty, humility, and love.

P - Prayer
Lord, make my heart pure. Remove anything in me that keeps me from seeing You clearly. Help me to live with sincerity, love, and a deep desire to please You. I want to see You more in my life and walk closely with You every day. Amen.

GOD BLESS
