CHURCH HISTORY: 46 yrs. ago to date, on March 22, 1973, a neophyte baptist preacher in the person of Ptr. Rodolfo Perdigon was hired by Lepanto Consolodated Mining Company as an investigator at the Security Department. Three months later, he was promoted to shift in-charge, then as the Chief Investigator in November 1974 due to his vast experience in the military. His job did not prevent him to s
hare the Gospel. True to his calling, he started knocking on doors and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in this part of the wilderness. After some 5 converts, he has his first bible study at Mrs. Salinas Residence, San Antonio Area, Lepanto, Mankayan, Benguet and the first church service at her classroom at the Lepanto Elementary School. Sometime on the last quarter of 1975, Lepanto Bible Baptist Church (LBBC) was organized by no other than Ptr. Benny M. Abante, Jr., with the authority from Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church. Since its foundation, LBBC started to grow and glow in the community. As part of the history of the church, it was well known for its audicity and boldness in the proclamation of God's Word. Of course, it was not spared of practically all types of problems or trials. Since it is located in a mining community where members come and go depending on their destiny. It can also boast of producing Pastors and Preachers in spite of its location. Let the facts be remembered also, that there are lots of young people then who passed by her doors and are now very successful in their respective careers, who consider LBBC/MBBC as the vital tool to their successes. So many years have come and gone, so many have transpired, but this time the church chose to work out and enjoy with gusto the sustaining grace of our God Almighty. Currently, the church is into doing the business of God establishing area bible studies during midweeks and 2 mission outreaches on Sunday evening at Cervantes, Ilocos Sur. missions were opened in Dacudac, Tadian, Mt. Province in 2007, La-Trinidad/Camp 7, Baguio in 2008 and in Cervantes, Ilocos Sur in 2010, Laya, Tabuk in 2016, Basista, Pangasinan in 2018, outreaches in Australia and Lamut, Ifugao. LONG LIVE MBBC MANKAYAN!!!
