The monsoon rains are hitting families hard right now, and we canโ€™t just stand by. As a young Catholic community, the Commission on Youth Office - Diocese of Baguio is launching a donation drive to bring real help to those in need.

Sunday Eucharistic Celebration and the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne-Grandparents of Jesus was presided over by Rev. Fr. Abner Dalilis. In his homily, he challenged the faithful to examine their hearts by asking, "Kas ano di panangipateg tako sin pagarian Apo Dios?" He cautioned that if we choose to chase worldly treasures, those temporary possessions may be the only rewards we will ever receive, causing us to miss out on heavenly riches. Reflecting on the Gospel message, Fr. Abner emphasized that sacrifice is necessary. " Mansakripisyo ka tan wada di mas laylaydem". To be detached from what you have because of wanting something valuable. Furthermore, he reminded the faithful never to measure Godโ€™s favor or blessings by someone's material status, because true wealth for God is found only in His Kingdom. He concluded his homily with a powerful reminder: to never forget God and the mission of the Church, and to always pray and help all Filipino missionaries proclaiming the Good News.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Dante reminded the youth that real beauty isn't about physical looks or your "Outfit of the Day" (OOTD), because true beauty is a light in the heart, revealed through good character and meaningful relationships. He advised the young to focus on their inner selves and how they treat others, invest their time on building a good character through reflection rather than wasting their time on external appearances or superficial social media trends. Finally, he reminded everyone that authentic beauty thrives where Harmony, Clarity, and Cleanliness are present.
