Last July 26, 2026, the faithful of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish gathered for the Parish Synodal Congress 2026โ€”a meaningful day of prayer, listening, sharing, and discernment.

Representatives from our different ministries and communities came together not simply to speak, but to listen to one another, understand one another, and walk together as one Church. Through our shared experiences, hopes, and dreams, we were reminded that the mission of the Church is not carried by a few, but by all of us.

May this Synodal Congress inspire us to build a parish where everyone has a voice, everyone has a place, and everyone is called to serve. May we continue to grow in unity, participation, and love, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide every step of our journey.

Together, let us listen. Together, let us discern. Together, let us serve. Together, let us journey as one.๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’›

15th Sunday in Ordinary Time
God Doesnโ€™t Give Fruit, He Gives Seeds.

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus reminds us that God generously plants seeds in every heart. But notice this: God usually does not give us the fruit right away. He gives us the seed and invites us to cooperate with His grace.

If you pray for peace, God plants the seed of forgiveness.
If you pray for love, He plants compassion.
If you pray for patience, He gives opportunities to persevere.
If you pray for holiness, He sows His Word into your heart.

The harvest depends not only on the generosity of the Sower but also on the openness of the soil. Godโ€™s grace is always a gift, but fruitfulness requires our response.

Today, let us ask ourselves: What kind of soil is my heart? May we welcome Godโ€™s seeds, nurture them with prayer and obedience, and allow Him to bring forth a harvest of love, peace, and holiness in our lives.

โ€œGod gives the seed; we cooperate so that, by His grace, it bears fruit.โ€

It's never easy to say goodbye, especially to someone who has become part of our family.

Yesterday, July 5, 2026, the Saint Joseph the Worker Parish (SJWP) family gathered in thanksgiving to honor and give Bro. Tristan a heartfelt send-off as he concluded his six-month assignment in our parish.

In these six months, Bro. Tristan has been a blessing to our entire community. Through his humble service, encouraging words, and genuine care, he has touched the lives of many. His presence has been a source of inspiration and a sign of God's love among us.

As he begins a new chapter in his mission, we entrust him to God's guidance and protection. May the Lord continue to bless him with strength, wisdom, and joy as he serves in the missions ahead

Though your assignment in our parish has come to an end, you will always be welcome here. The doors of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish will always be open for you, and you will forever be a part of the SJWP family. May God continue to bless and guide you wherever your mission leads.

14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Our world constantly urges us to chase success, wealth, recognition, and pleasure, but Jesus reminds us that the human heart longs for something deeper. While the achievements of this world may satisfy us for a time, they can never fully bring the peace, meaning, and lasting joy that only God can give. Faith is not an escape from lifeโ€™s struggles, It is the light that guides us through them and the strength that sustains us.

Religion invites us to return to the One who knows our deepest burdens. In Christ, we discover that true rest is not found in having more, but in trusting more. His words remain a timeless invitation: โ€œCome to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.โ€ Those who place their faith in Him find comfort, hope, and spiritual renewal even amid lifeโ€™s hardships.

May we never become so consumed by the pursuit of worldly happiness that we forget the lasting peace found in Godโ€™s presence. For in the end, the greatest treasure is not what we gain from the world, but the relationship we cultivate with Christ, who alone can satisfy the deepest longing of the human heart.

13th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Love that Goes Beyond the Family

โ€œPara sa pamilya.โ€ This is the reason why many of us work hard, sacrifice, and endure lifeโ€™s struggles. Family is Godโ€™s first gift to us- the first school of love, faith, and service. There is nothing wrong with loving our family deeply.
Yet in todayโ€™s Gospel, Jesus reminds us:
โ€œWhoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me.โ€
Jesus is not asking us to love our family less. Rather, He invites us to love our family through Him, not instead of Him.
When God comes first, our love becomes purer, wiser, and holier. We refuse to lie, cheat, or tolerate wrongdoing- even if it is โ€œfor the family.โ€ We also remember that our mission is bigger than our own home. As Christians, we are called to care not only for our loved ones but also for our community and those in need.
The same is true with our careers and dreams. Success, ambition, and work are blessings from God but they should never replace God. When our career becomes our master, we risk losing what matters most: our relationship with Him.
Today, let us ask ourselves:
Who comes first in my life?
When Christ is first, our family becomes a holy family, our work becomes a vocation, our dreams become a mission, and our success becomes a way of giving glory to God.
Family is a gift. Career is a gift. Success is a blessing. But only God deserves the first place in our hearts.
May Christ always be first in our lives.

A Blessed Father's Day! ๐Ÿ’š

Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of fatherhood and for the men who guide, protect, and inspire us through their love and sacrifice.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloved parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jojo D.G. Quesada, for being a true spiritual father to our parish community. Thank you for your faithful service, prayers, and dedication in leading us closer to Christ. Your guidance and care continue to strengthen our faith and unite us as one family in God.

May the Lord bless you with good health, wisdom, joy, and abundant grace as you continue your ministry. May St. Joseph, the faithful guardian and patron of fathers, intercede for all fathers and spiritual fathers, that they may be blessed with grace, peace, and enduring love.

Happy Father's Day to all our fathers and especially to our spiritual father, Apo. Jojo! ๐Ÿ™โœจ
