A success! That's how many participants viewed the recently concluded National Singles Retreat held last April 30-May 2, 2014 in the City of Gentle People. Many contributed to the success of this retreat: the organizers, speakers, facilitators, the participants themselves who came from far and near places, the financial contributors, the labors of the Batinguel, Dumaguete Church of Christ, Tayasan and Downtown Tagbilaran CoC members. A heartful thanks to all of you! We give God all the glory!

OUR CREED

Like other Church of Christ congregations, the Dumaguete church believes that it is part of the Lord’s church that was established in Jerusalem as recorded in Acts 2, which is the fulfillment of the prophecies laid down in Daniel 2:44, Daniel 7: 13-14 and Isaiah 2:2-3. Its faith in anchored on the Holy Scriptures, following the Lord’s teachings, and the doctrine and practices of the early church, as essayed in the New Testament. It speaks where the Bible speaks, and is silent where the Bible is silent, as taught in I Cor. 4:6 and I Peter 4:11.

The Dumaguete church strongly affirms that Christ is the head and the Savior of the church as taught in Colossians 1:18 and Ephesians 5:23. It believes in the autonomy of each congregation, and in the plurality of elders serving in their respective congregations based on Acts 14:23 and Titus 1:5.
