LOOK: ASSUMPTA EST MARIA! Tomorrow, August 15, 2026, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Vigil Mass in anticipation of this great feast will be celebrated on the late afternoon of August 14, 2026. The proper prayers and readings for the Vigil must be observed, and the liturgical color is White or Gold.

On August 15, 2026, the Mass of the Solemnity will be celebrated throughout the day. The proper texts and readings for the Mass of the Day will be used, with White or Gold vestments.

Please note: there will be no anticipation of the 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time, as the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary takes precedence over Sundays in Ordinary Time.

Let us rejoice with the whole Church in honoring Our Lady, assumed body and soul into heavenly glory. Be guided accordingly, and have a blessed Solemnity of Our Lady’s Assumption!

JUST IN: The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed Most Rev. Midyphil B. Billones, D.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of Jaro, as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Kabankalan.

JUST IN: The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed Most Rev. Midyphil B. Billones, D.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of Jaro, as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Kabankalan.

The appointment, made public today through CBCP News, was announced in a letter from the Dicastery for Bishops dated August 11, 2026, and released this Friday.

As Metropolitan Archbishop and Apostolic Administrator, Archbishop Billones will shepherd the Diocese of Kabankalan—one of the suffragan dioceses of the Archdiocese of Jaro—in a "caretaker capacity" until the Holy Father appoints and installs a new bishop.

We accompany Archbishop Billones with our prayers and support as he tends to the wider flock entrusted to his care. Likewise, we lift up the Local Church of Kabankalan in prayer, that the Lord may soon grant them a new shepherd who will minister and journey with them after the Heart of Jesus.

With joyful hearts and profound thanksgiving, our parish rejoices in the Ordination to the Sacred Order of Priesthood of Rev. Fr. John Laurens “JL” A. Tupas, a son of our parish, for the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP).

He was ordained through the laying-on of hands and the consecratory prayer of The Most Rev. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, D.D., Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines, during the solemn Eucharistic celebration last 08 August 2026, at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Cathedral, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City, on the Memorial of St. Dominic de Guzman.

This sacred occasion is a great blessing to our parish, as we witness another vocation from our community given entirely to Christ and His Church. As he begins his priestly ministry in the Military Ordinariate, may Fr. JL faithfully proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the Holy Eucharist and the Sacraments, and bring Christ’s presence and pastoral care to those entrusted to his ministry.

May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, grant him holiness, fidelity, humility, courage, and zeal for the salvation of souls. May Mary, Mother of Priests, accompany him always.

Congratulations, Fr. JL! Our parish rejoices with you and continues to pray for your holy, faithful, and fruitful priesthood.

The faithful of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Apostles Parish gathered in joyful thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast of honor of our beloved patrons, 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹. The Solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘆𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗕. 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗗.𝗗., 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗼, whose inspiring message reminded the faithful to remain steadfast in faith, courageous in witnessing the Gospel, and united as one Church. This year's celebration also held special significance as it formed part of the 𝟳𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗼 under the theme "𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗰?", inviting every believer to continue Christ's mission with renewed zeal.
