The Life of David
David may have been overlooked and treated as the least important part of his family, but God chose him and had Samuel anoint him to be the next king. He then became the most famous shepherd boy and the greatest king of Israel.
Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
David vs. Goliath
David wasn’t interested in the earthly rewards offered by King Saul, rather He was offended that Goliath is directly mocking and insulting God. David’s desire was not to destroy or kill Goliath, but is to defend God.
He was after God’s own heart.
Goliath may be giant and has his own physical strength, but David used God’s strength to win the battle.
The Tabernacle of David
In the Tabernacle of Moses, having three separate areas, only the high priests are allowed to experience God’s presence once a year. But David’s tabernacle was created so all mankind may seek the Lord, that anyone is allowed to communicate, encounter and express their heartily worship directly to God — with singing, dancing, and using musical instruments.
