Last Friday night, May 1, 2026, the young people of Pure Heart Generation gathered at JCIL Pondol Church for a meaningful and spirit-filled Youth Night Fellowship. The atmosphere was filled with joy, worship, and expectation as everyone came together to seek God and grow deeper in His Word.
Continuing the series in the book of Matthew, Bro. Ralph shared a powerful message from Matthew 17:22โ27 entitled, โNeeded Reminders.โ The sermon centered on the truths found in the passage and reminded everyone of
The message first highlighted a reminder about the death of Jesus. Even before His suffering happened, Jesus already revealed to His disciples that He would be betrayed, killed, and raised again on the third day. Though the disciples were deeply saddened, this passage points us to the very mission of Christ โ to die for the forgiveness of sins and to bring salvation to humanity. Truly, the sacrifice of Jesus is the foundation of our faith and a constant reminder of His great love for us.
The sermon also emphasized a reminder about our loyalties. Through the conversation about the temple tax, Jesus taught His disciples that their greatest identity was not tied to earthly systems but to God Himself. As followers of Christ, our highest loyalty should always belong to the Kingdom of God above everything else.
Another important reminder from the message was the call not to offend others unnecessarily. Although Jesus had every right not to pay the temple tax, He still chose humility and peace in order not to create conflict. In the same way, Christians are called to reflect the love, humility, and character of Christ in the way they speak, act, and live before others.
Lastly, the fellowship was reminded of the miraculous power of Jesus. Through the miracle of the coin found in the fishโs mouth, God demonstrated that He is able to provide for every need in ways beyond human understanding. The same Jesus who performed miracles then is still able to move powerfully in the lives of His people today.
The night became a beautiful reminder that because of the reality of Jesusโ death and resurrection, believers are called to live lives fully devoted to Him. Everyone was encouraged to evaluate their priorities, magnify the work of Jesus in their lives, and become a reflection of His grace to others.
Indeed, the Youth Night was not only a gathering of fellowship, but also a night of spiritual renewal, encouragement, and deeper understanding of Godโs Word.
All glory and honor belong to God alone! ๐๐ค
