HE SEES TO IT
Genesis 22:6-8
So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." Then he said, "Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together.
Christians love hearing this story of God providing for our needs. But we need to see the deeper Hebrew meaning of the word “PROVIDE” in Hebrew. It is the word “RAA” which means “to see”. It is the same word as “and God SAW (RAA) that it was good” in Genesis 1. God doesn’t just provide our needs, He sees our situation as well as our hearts. He sees the whole picture and knows what He wants us to become when we trust Him.
OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, You are the All-Knowing God who sees to it that we have what we need. But You know our hearts better than we do. So we trust You for the things that we receive and the things that we don’t. We know that all things work for good because You saw to it and we love You for it!
For we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20)
