Knowing who God is and discovering His plan for our lives does not happen just because we desire it, but through the ways He continues to reveal Himself.
God speaks through Scripture, where His promises remind us that He is our loving Father who cleanses and restores. He speaks through the Tradition, handed down from the apostles to our own day. He speaks through the Magisterium, the teaching authority of the Church, which guides us through the words of our Church leaders. He speaks through the quiet promptings of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us and gently guides our hearts. And He shows us His faithfulness through history, proving again and again that the God who acted in the past is the same God who acts in our lives today.
The more we come to understand Godβs nature, the more we come to believe, trust, and expect of His mercy and compassion.
May the light of faith help us recognize Godβs hand at work: in salvation history and in the small, grace-filled moments of our everyday lives. β¨
