A Call to Think and Be Real

Do Not Bring Your Bibles
to the wooden pew If it stays forgotten all the long week through.

Do Not Carry leather stamped in shiny gold If the words inside it leave your spirit cold.

LIVE the holy pages.
BE the living word.
LET your daily actions make the truth be heard.

Do Not Bring Your Bibles just to hold them high ....
While a hurting neighbor walks unheeded by.

READ the sacred chapters when the doors are closed,
Standing for the gospel when you are opposed.

READ it in the morning.
Quote it in the dark.
Let its burning message leave a lasting mark.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BIBLES if you close the lid keeping all the mercy and the virtues hid.

WALK in the narrow pathway.
DO what it demands.
BE the Savior’s shadow.
BE His helping hands.

OBEY it when it calls you.
TRUST it and be true.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BIBLE as an Anting Anting, Amulet or as an Amusement Thing ....
DO NOT BRING YOUR BIBLE for display and to be placed at bay.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BIBLE,
Let it live in you!
Let it be the voice of your prayer!
Let it be ministered to all who must heed it true!
