"sipata gid"
In a quiet barangay, there was an old house owned by a man named Tiyo Ruben.
The house was simple but well-kept. The walls were painted white, the garden was trimmed, and people often passed by and admired how clean it looked.
One day, a small group of kids playing outside accidentally threw a ball that hit the wall.
A tiny crack appeared—barely noticeable, just a thin line on the surface.
Tiyo Ruben saw it.
He thought, “It’s small. I’ll fix it later.”
But later never came.
Weeks passed. The small crack slowly widened. Rainwater entered, softening the concrete.
One afternoon, a teenager passing by noticed the crack and carved initials next to it.
Then another added his own graffiti.
Then someone placed a sticker.
Soon, the beautiful white wall looked dirty and messy.
Because the wall looked neglected, people started dumping small trash near it—just small things at first: candy wrappers, plastic bottles.
Then bigger ones: old cardboard, broken buckets.
Eventually, stray cats began hiding there.
A foul smell started lingering around the once-beautiful house.
And finally, because the wall had weakened, one part collapsed during a strong rain.
The house that once looked peaceful now looked abandoned and unsafe.
All because one small crack was ignored.
📘 LESSON: Guard Your Heart
Just like that cracked wall…
One unaddressed hurt
One ignored temptation
One bitterness kept in your heart
One attitude you refuse to surrender to God
…can become a doorway to bigger spiritual damage.
A little anger becomes rage.
A little jealousy becomes hatred.
A little compromise becomes bo***ge.
A little bitterness becomes poison.
A little impurity becomes addiction.
Why?
Because one small “crack” in the heart that we leave unfixed becomes an invitation for the enemy to vandalize our soul.
The Bible says:
“Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23
Everything starts with one crack.
