The recent 24th Western Visayas Regional Youth Conference would not have been possible if it were not for the kindness and support of our sponsors!

The whole region would like to extend their gratitude to the following individuals and establishments. Your generosity has surely played a huge role in the success of our event.

From here, it is our prayers that whatever you gave would come back to you tenfold. Thank you.

To God be the glory!

As this unforgettable event comes to an end, our hearts are brimming with gratitude for the πŸ•πŸ—πŸ 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 who answered the Lord's call. The success of the conference would not have been possible without His guidance and the heartfelt efforts of each and every soul who played a part.

This may have come to a close, but our identity as YFCs remains, and this time, our hearts are braver and our faith unwavering. We stand as Bravehearts, for we have a brave and loving God in our lives.

Come the last day of the conference, Archbishop Bendico wrapped up the conference by leading us into the highest form of worship, the holy mass.

Throughout that time, he called attention to the Christian principle of coming from God and going to God. If we want to be Bravehearts, we must understand that our strength must come from the Lord and all the glory goes back to Him regardless of the challenges that lies ahead.

As the 24th Western Visayas Regional Youth Conference 2023 draws near to its heartwarming conclusion, Kuya Gian, the YFC Visayas Head, graced us with an awe-inspiring Praise Fest, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. His words reminded us that as Bravehearts, our mission is to lovingly rally each other towards the Lord.

He stressed that the love we have discovered from this conference should not be confined to this event alone. Instead, it should serve as a flame that we carry back to our home provinces.

In the final session of the conference, Kuya Gian helped us once again realize who is a Braveheart and what they do.

As a response to the love of God, we must live a life that is set on mirroring His goodness and His likeness in everything that we do.

We may be going through different kinds of pain but with the Lord and with our community, there is plenty of love to go around and propel us into living with our God-given brave heart.

Kuya Rodmar, the Provincial Youth Head of Guimaras, led the morning worship on the second day of the RYC, sharing with us his personal journey of growth. He shared a time when he grappled with feelings of inadequacy, a struggle that led him to adopt a performative facade, ultimately leaving him drained. He then understood how God understood. However, he challenged us to come as we are and allow God and others to see who we truly are.

May we come forth to the Lord as our authentic selves and embrace our growth as we continue to journey with Himβ€”our joy borne in Christ, not from performanceβ€”as His faithful missionaries.

Kuya Chrestian capped off the first night with a powerful praise fest, reminding everyone to go back to our YFC identities for those are our avenues for growth and the place where we’ll continue to grow.

Through God, he inspired everyone to appreciate our path as a YFC member and our sense of community as they can do wonders in our life and world.

As we return to our respective provinces and own realities, let’s hold on to the lessons of our Kuya to remain grounded in being a YFC.

Ate Ross Ann, the YCOM Head of YFC Kusog Aklan, shared a heartfelt testimony of how God has sustained her and fortified her unshakable faith through the numerous tests and trials life has thrown her way. She never gives up on living a life that aligns with God's will and is pleasing to His eyes.

May we, too, be inspired to live a life that pleases God, just as Ate Ross Ann does, and to stand courageously when tested. May these experiences strengthen our resolve and touch our hearts deeply.

When Ate Reca was a young girl, she strayed from the path of the Lord. However, upon entering the YFC community, her sisters in Christ became instruments of her transformation, guided by God's love and mercy. She is determined not to revisit her past, knowing that she needed to make a change.

At times, we may feel like it's too late to change, but let us always remember that our God is a merciful God.
