PAG-IBIG HANGGANG KAMATAYAN:

As we enter the most sacred season of the Christian faith, we are called to pause from our daily routines and reflect on the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this spirit, we invite everyone to take part in our Holy Week observances. Please be guided by the schedule below. May this be a time of prayer, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal for all. ✝️⛪️

APRIL 2, 2026 | MAUNDY THURSDAY

Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, marks the beginning of the Sacred Triduum. On this day, the Church commemorates the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with His Apostles, as well as the institution of the priesthood. Celebrated within the context of the Passover, this sacred meal reveals Christ as the true Paschal Lamb, who offers Himself in sacrifice for the salvation of all.

The Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be presided over by Bishop Raul at 6:00 PM at the New San Nicolas de Tolentino Cathedral.

December 14 | 3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Gaudete Sunday

The third Sunday of Advent is called "Gaudete Sunday", the day when we light the 'pink candle' on the Advent Wreath. Rose vestments are worn to emphasize our joy that Christmas is near.

Gaudete means 'rejoice'. This day reminds us of the joy that is to come and serves, amid this season of penance, as a kind of "break" when we recall the hope we have because of the coming of our Lord Jesus.

Happy Gaudete Sunday!

Dec. 12: HAPPY FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE!

"DO NOT BE DISTRESSED, MY LITTLEST SON, Am I not here with you who am your mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection?”

"My dear little son, I love you. I desire you to know who I am. I am the ever-virgin Mary, Mother of the true God who gives life and maintains its existence. He created all things. He is in all places. He is Lord of Heaven and Earth. I desire a church in this place where your people may experience my compassion. All those who sincerely ask my help in their work and in their sorrows will know my Mother’s Heart in this place. Here I will see their tears; I will console them and they will be at peace. So run now to Tenochtitlan and tell the Bishop all that you have seen and heard."

SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Principal Patroness of the Philippines

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a profound mystery of our faith that reveals the boundless mercy and providence of God. This feast is not about the conception of Jesus in Mary’s womb but about the conception of Mary herself in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. From the first moment of her existence, Mary was preserved from the stain of original sin, chosen and prepared by God to be the mother of His Son.

Originating in the 7th c. feast of the "Conception of Mary by St. Anne." Pope Clement XI, in his Bull, Commissi Nobis, established this solemnity for the entire Church (1708). Declared Principal Patroness of the Philippines by Pope Pius XII in 1942.

PRAYER: O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin prepared a worthy dwelling for your Son, grant, we pray, that, as you preserved her from every stain by virtue of the Death of your Son, which you foresaw, so, through her intercession, we, too, may be cleansed and admitted to your presence. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
