WHAT WE TRULY NEED ☝️✅
Matthew 6:33; John 14:6

Jesus is the center of the Bible, the center of our faith, and the center of everything.
Many things in this world seem important, but above all, what we truly need is Jesus.

Science says that to survive, human beings need four basic elements: water, air, food, and light.
And amazingly, all these point us to Christ.

1. WATER
John 4:14 – “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” Water gives life. Without water, man becomes weak and dies. In the same way, our soul becomes dry without Jesus. People try to satisfy their thirst through money, pleasure, success, or relationships, but only Jesus can truly satisfy the heart.

Jesus is the Living Water. When Christ fills our lives, there is peace, joy, and eternal life.

2. AIR
John 20:22 – Jesus breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Genesis 2:7 – God breathed into man the breath of life.
Job 33:4 – “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Without air, no one can live. Every breath we take is a reminder that life comes from God.

The Holy Spirit is the breath of spiritual life. Without the Spirit of God, a person may be physically alive but spiritually dead. Jesus gives life to our weary souls and revives us daily through His Spirit.

3. FOOD
John 6:35 – “I am the Bread of Life.”
John 6:48, 51

Food strengthens the body. When we do not eat, we become weak. Spiritually, many Christians are weak because they are not feeding on Christ and His Word.
Jesus is the Bread of Life. He nourishes our faith, strengthens our spirit, and sustains us through every trial.

That is why Jesus said in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

4. LIGHT
John 8:12 – “I am the Light of the world.”

Without light, there is darkness. Without Jesus, life becomes confused, empty, and lost. Jesus is the light that guides us. He exposes sin, gives direction, and leads us to the right path. Even in our darkest moments, His light never fails.

The world says we need many things to live. But the Word of God reminds us that above all else—
* Jesus is our Living Water
* Jesus is our Breath of Life
* Jesus is our Bread of Life
* Jesus is the Light of the World

Therefore, JESUS IS WHAT WE NEED! That is why Matthew 6:33 says: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

When we have Jesus, we have everything we truly need.

JOSEPH THE DREAMER
(Genesis 37–50)

Joseph was the favorite son of his father Jacob because he was the son of his old age. His father even gave him a beautiful coat, which made his brothers jealous.

One day, Joseph had a dream: they were binding sheaves of grain in the field, and his brothers’ sheaves bowed down to his sheaf. This meant that one day, his brothers would bow before him. Later, he had another dream where the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed down to him, symbolizing that even his family would honor him.

When Joseph told these dreams to his brothers, they became angry and offended. Because of jealousy, they plotted against him. They threw him into a pit, took his special garment, dipped it in animal’s blood, and made their father believe that he had been killed by a wild animal. But instead of killing him, they sold him to traders, and he was taken to Egypt and sold to Potiphar.

While serving in Potiphar’s house, Joseph was blessed by God and became successful. However, Potiphar’s wife desired Joseph, but Joseph refused because he wanted to remain faithful to God. Out of anger and rejection, she falsely accused him of harassing her, and Joseph was thrown into prison.

Even in prison, God was with Joseph. There, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s servants. Later, Pharaoh himself had troubling dreams:
* Seven healthy, fat cows were eaten by seven thin cows.
* Seven full, healthy heads of grain were swallowed by seven thin, scorched heads of grain.

Joseph interpreted the dreams: Egypt would experience seven years of abundance, followed by seven years of severe famine. God was warning Pharaoh to prepare by storing food during the years of plenty.

Because of Joseph’s wisdom, Pharaoh appointed him as second in command over Egypt, making him his right-hand man. Under Joseph’s leadership, Egypt stored enough food to survive the famine.

When famine struck all lands, even Joseph’s family in Canaan suffered. His brothers traveled to Egypt to buy food—and there, unknowingly, they bowed before Joseph, exactly as his dreams had foretold.

In the end, Joseph forgave his brothers and said:
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” (Genesis 50:20)
—-
Joseph’s story reminds us that God’s plans are greater than our pain. Joseph went from being rejected to being respected, from the pit to the palace, from prisoner to ruler, from suffering to victory.

There were moments when everything seemed lost—betrayal, false accusation, imprisonment—but God was working behind the scenes. Sometimes, what feels like a setback is actually God setting us up for something greater. When life brings challenges, delays, or suffering, trust God. He sees the bigger picture.

From poverty to provision, from loss to restoration, from trials to triumph—God has a purpose for every season.

Just trust Him.
He has a plan for your life.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD 🐑
John 10:1-11

Jesus declared, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)

In the Bible, sheep are known to be dependent, vulnerable, and easily lost. Just like sheep, we also need guidance, protection, and care. That is why Jesus presented Himself as the Good Shepherd — the One who truly loves, leads, and saves His flock.

The beautiful thing about this relationship is this:
Jesus knows His sheep, and His sheep know His voice. When we stay close to Him, we learn to recognize His leading, correction, comfort, and direction.

Characters of the Good Shepherd
1. Sacrificial Love
Jesus was willing to lay down His life for His sheep.
Unlike a hired servant who runs away when danger comes, Jesus stayed and sacrificed Himself on the cross for our salvation. Romans 5:8 — “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” His love is not temporary or conditional. It is sacrificial and unconditional.

2. Protector of His Sheep
A shepherd protects the flock from predators, danger, and enemies. In the same way, Jesus guards us spiritually, emotionally, and even physically. There may be storms, temptations, and attacks in life, but we are secure in His hands. John 10:28 — “No one shall sn**ch them out of My hand.” When we follow the Shepherd, we are under His protection.

3. Seeker of the Lost
Jesus seeks those who are lost.
In the parable of the lost sheep, the shepherd left the ninety-nine just to find the one that wandered away (Luke 15:3-7). This shows the heart of God: No sinner is forgotten. No backslider is abandoned. No broken person is beyond His reach. Just like the woman who searched diligently for the lost coin, Jesus values every soul.

4. Healer and Tender Caretaker
The Good Shepherd is gentle and compassionate.
He heals the wounded, carries the weak, and restores the broken. Many people are hurting silently, but Jesus cares deeply for His sheep. Matthew 11:28 — “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” There is comfort, peace, and healing in His presence.

5. Provider and Nurturer

A shepherd makes sure the sheep are fed and sustained. Jesus provides not only our physical needs but most importantly our spiritual needs. Psalm 23:1 — “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” When the Lord is our Shepherd, we can live with confidence because He knows exactly what we need. He leads us to green pastures, gives us rest, and nourishes our souls through His Word.

Jesus is not just a Shepherd — He is the Good Shepherd. He loves, protects, seeks, heals, and provides for His flock. The question for us is: Are we listening to His voice and following Him?

May we remain close to the Shepherd every day, trusting His leading and resting in His care.

MALIGAYANG ARAW NG MGA INA! 💐🤰

Don’t stop praying just because it’s taking time. Some breakthroughs are built in the waiting, where God strengthens your heart before He changes your situation. 🌾🙏

I used to spend so much energy trying to fix what’s around me.
But slowly, I’m learning.
God is more concerned with what’s happening inside me.

You don’t have to carry the whole future in your hands today. Just take the next small step. Breathe. Pray even if it’s just one sentence. “Lord, help me stay.”

This time, hold on to Jesus. 🙏🏻

FAITH THAT DOES NOT PLEASE GOD ❌❎🙅
Matthew 7:21–23

Not all faith pleases God.

1. Faith that only listens but does not obey
James 1:22

Let us choose to be wise—yung nagtayo ng bahay sa Bato. Hindi lang nakikinig, kundi sumusunod. Dahil sabi sa James 2:17, faith without action is dead.
“Dawa nga ippes”—walang silbi kung walang gawa.

2. Faith that relies on self-righteousness
By His grace, we are saved—not by our own strength or good deeds.

Kaya huwag tayong magtiwala sa sarili natin. Instead, build your faith on Jesus—the solid foundation, the greatest example, the King of all kings.

3. Faith that serves for personal gain
Matthew 7:21-22
They preach, they cast out demons, they perform miracles—but their hearts are far from God. Nakakatakot ito, kasi even “Christian works” can be done with wrong motives.

This is a warning for all of us. Beware.

God is not after what we say, but how we live.

Let our faith be real—alive, obedient, and centered in Christ.

His love meets you even in the quiet places of your heart. 🤍🙏
