Todayโ€™s Gospel Reading encourages us to answer Jesusโ€™ question personally: โ€œWho do you say that I am?โ€ Peterโ€™s faith was not based only on human knowledge, but on Godโ€™s revelation. When we place Christ at the centre of our lives, grace strengthens our faith and helps us follow Him with confidence and hope.

With hearts filled with gratitude and reverence, we welcomed the sacred relic of our beloved Seraphic Father, Saint Francis of Assisi, here in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.

From August 9 to 11, 2026, the presence of the relic became a beautiful occasion for prayer, reflection, and encounter. Through the Holy Masses, veneration, and moments of prayer, the faithful were reminded of the life of a man who chose simplicity over comfort, peace over conflict, and love for God and all creation above all else.

As the relic journeyed through our chapels and communities, it brought with it a profound reminder of the Franciscan spirit: to live simply, love deeply, serve humbly, and follow Christ faithfully.

May the visit of the relic of Saint Francis continue to bear fruit in the hearts of everyone who encountered it. May his example inspire us to become peacemakers, servants of the poor, stewards of creation, and joyful witnesses of the Gospel.
