Life is Blessed, Valuable, Mission
As we joyfully celebrate and commemorate the great the feast of the Nativity of our Lady, let us reflect God’s gift of life.
Life is a blessing. We are blessed. God makes us special. God in His goodness has gifted us with skills and talents. God in His mercy sustains and supports in our life. In spite of pains and problems, God in His power and providence makes us strong and secured. Even with life’s hurts and hardships, we survived and especially God saves us.
So, there are always blessings from God. And God will continue bless us. So, let us share our blessings. And give our best to God. Be blessed for others.
Life is valuable. We are all special to God. We are all somebody before God. We are all important and precious to God. For us and for our salvation, God gives us His Son. God sends to us a Savior, Jesus. For us and for pilgrimage to Heaven, our Lord Jesus is always telling us “There your mother” (John 19,26-27).
Thus, let us take care of our life. Let us live a moral, right and good life. Let us love our Blessed Mother Mary. And we live the life of Jesus, her Son and our Savior. Be victorious here on earth over vices, selfishness and sins. Be full of grace for others.
Life is mission. We are all tasks and responsibilities. God believes in us. He has high hope for us. He trusts us and entrusted something, someone to our care. God is confident in our capacity and confided anything, anyone to our life.
And so let us remain firm and faithful to God. We obey Him and offer all our efforts and expertise to Him. We must not fail God, but to follow Him and fulfill His divine will for us. So that time will come we can also say mission accomplished.
To do all this, that life is blessed, valuable and mission, let us also affirm and do what our Blessed Virgin Mary whose birthday we celebrate today, “I am the handmaid of the Lord! May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1,26).
