Church members and leaders from Wewak’s East Coast and West Coast districts gathered at Gander Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church today for a special day of reconciliation, prayer and renewed commitment to mission.

Led by Sepik Mission Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director, Pastor Graham Ovasui, the program brought district leaders together with mission administrators, departmental directors and workers to set aside their differences, seek forgiveness and strengthen cooperation.

“We are getting started. We will reconcile and forgive each other as many times as the Bible teaches us. We should not keep track of how many times we forgive someone. We must always forgive, no matter how many times it takes,” Pastor Ovasui said.

Mission Secretary Pastor Charles Paul thanked the leaders for supporting the initiative and reaffirmed Sepik Mission’s commitment to unity throughout the Greater Sepik region.

The gathering concluded the week-long “Forgive to Live” revival and reconciliation meetings led by Pastor Ovasui.

Similar reconciliation programs will continue throughout Sepik Mission, district by district, bringing members, leaders and former mission officers together in a spirit of forgiveness, prayer and unity.

“Forgive not seven times, but seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:22.

Five local Adventurer clubs from the East Coast Schouten Island District gathered at Maur Village from July 24 to 26 for their first district Adventurer Rally, marking a milestone for children's ministry in the district.

The three day program brought together young Adventurers, leaders, parents, and church members from Koil, Sawarin, Maur, Suanum, and Kadowar for worship, drills, games, Bible learning, practical awards, and fellowship.

The rally also featured a special fire safety awareness session presented by the Wewak Fire and Rescue Service, giving children practical lessons on fire prevention and emergency response.

Set along the Turubu Coastline of East Sepik Province, the rally strengthened friendships between local churches while encouraging children to grow physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually through the Adventurer Club ministry.

A big thank you to the Wewak Fire Services team for visiting our Adventurers today to conduct a fire safety awareness session as part of their award requirements.

The team shared valuable lessons on fire hazards, prevention, and safety, equipping our young Adventurers with practical knowledge they will carry with them.

"The visit was also timely for those who attended from communities along the Turubu coastline and the Schouten Islands," said District Youth Coordinator, Mr. Neville Sope.
