Faith in Action: Seed Planting & Feeding Mission for Port Moresby
Vision Statement:
To awaken the Body of Christ across churches in Port Moresby to sow spiritual and practical seeds of faith by caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, and ministering to the sick and imprisoned—demonstrating the love of God in action.
Mission Objectives:
1. Mobilize believers to sow “seeds of faith” through giving, outreach, and service.
2. Provide regular feeding programs in high-need communities across Port Moresby.
3. Organize hospital and prison visitations to offer prayer, food, and support.
4. Foster unity and collaboration among churches through acts of compassion.
Program Components:
1. Seed Planting Program
• Bible-based teaching series on sowing and reaping
• Giving campaigns to support mission activities
• Testimony nights to build faith and community
2. Feeding Program – “City of Compassion”
• Weekly or bi-weekly food distribution in targeted areas (e.g., settlements, bus stops)
• Hospital visits: prayer and care packages for patients
• Prison outreach: spiritual encouragement and meals (with proper approvals)
3. Volunteer & Church Network
• Recruit and train volunteers from local churches
• Collaborate with pastors, youth ministries, and women’s fellowships
• Share resources and schedules through a centralized calendar
