The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the true mark of belonging to God. When a person receives the Holy Spirit, they are reborn—like a newborn child—and given a new name. Their hearts become inclined toward the things of God, which are spiritual, leading to life and peace. In contrast, those who are born only of the flesh remain attached to the desires and glory of this world. Living according to the flesh leads to death, leaving the destiny of their soul uncertain.
