Night 4 - The Lord's Supper 🙏

In families we sat, as Tama and Elders guided us through the Night's proceedings.
From the back drop painted of the Passover instituted in Exodus to the fulfilment of Covenant through the lens of the Gospels we see Jesus our Lord & Saviour the perfect sacrifice - we journeyed tonight to come to a place of understanding.

Glorious is His Name 🔥❤️✝️

✝️ Night 3
Elder Stanley Luanda - Mark 12:13-17

"Paying Taxes"
13 - Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words.
14 - They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?
15 - Should we pay or shouldn't we?"
16 - But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. "Why are you trying to trap me?" he asked. "Bring me a denarius and let me look at it." They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?Caesar's," they replied.
17 - Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him. (NIV)

Night 2 of Holy Passion Week ✝️🔥

Elder Raka Taviri Snr took us on Matthew 21:18-20
18 - Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry.
19 - Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.
20 - When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.

Take aways:
✅️ Power Encounter - only if you have Him in your life as Lord and Saviour, otherwise it will not make sense/foolishness ✝️

You carry Authority. Walk in it.🔥

✝️ Night 1
Elder Lei took us on Mark 11:15-19
Mark.11.15 - On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,
16 - and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.
17 - And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'"
18 - The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.
19 - When evening came, they went out of the city. (NIV)

Rev. Percy Rarua and Wife Rev. Francy Rarua Posted to Madang for Chaplaincy Ministry

The Urban Region has officially posted Rev. Percy Rarua and wife Rev. Francy Rarua to Madang to undertake chaplaincy work across various institutions within the province. Their appointment reflects the church’s continued commitment to strengthening pastoral care and spiritual support within educational and institutional settings.

Rev. Percy Rarua began his ministry at Lakani Toi Memorial Church, where his pastoral leadership made a lasting impact, particularly through the Christian Youth Ministry (CYM). His emphasis on mentorship, spiritual formation, and pastoral care helped lay a strong foundation for youth and church members alike before his subsequent posting to the North Port Moresby Circuit.

He was later appointed minister at Sister Fairhall Memorial Church, where he faithfully served for three years. Following the completion of his term, Rev. Rarua was posted to North Waigani United Church. The strong bonds formed during his ministry have continued to bear fruit, with many congregations being blessed through ongoing connections including Lakani Toi Memorial Church during Sunday Services and Boubou activities.

Rev. Francy Rarua, wife of Rev. Percy Rarua, brings with her a significant and historic contribution to the ministry. She is the first ordained woman minister from Poreporena Hanuabada, a milestone that stands as a source of inspiration within the church and the wider community. Her ministry has been marked by faithful service, pastoral care, and commitment to church and community life.

As they take up their new chaplaincy responsibilities in Madang, Rev. Percy Rarua and wife Rev. Francy Rarua are expected to provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support through worship, pastoral visits, and Sunday Services across institutions and congregations.
