FOLLOWER OF CHRIST
Many people category think that they are followers of Christ. However, according to the Bible there are terms and conditions. You cannot subscribe as and when you like and how you choose to become become a follower.
Everything organization and culture has terms and conditions. Becoming a believer is not being part of a social group nor entertainment industry. But rather a spiritual and eternal family which has protocals and ordinances for every believer to function according to God's Word and Ways.
Some of the essential attributes are as follows:
1. Repented from sin and turn to God in faith seeking mercy and grace.
2. Believers are spiritually regenerated in their spirits, renewed in their minds and their body becomes the Temple of God
3. Carry their cross and die to sin daily
4. They abide in the Word
5. They live life of consecration through effective prayer life and fasting
6. The grow to become sons of God and be conformed to the image of Christ
7. The Word of God is their standard, benchmark and basis of their culture
8. They live life of surrender, yielded, humble and always broken before God.
9. They allow Holy Spirit to develop their hands, minds and hearts to be sensitive and discerning concerning God's purposes and will.
10. They live holy, righteous and upright lives without compromise
11. Their lives are the living epistles and the signs and wonders people will come to know
12. They have Kingdom mentality
13. They have been transformed by the power of the Word and the Holy Spirit. They become a new man or new creation
14. They are in Christ first then they are in the Church. Salvation is in Christ and not from the Church.
15. They have an understanding of who they are in Christ and they allow the Holy Spirit to lead their lives, families, business and everything.
The Bible says, God knows those who are His. You can say you are in the Church and God knows who you but according to Scriptures, its not so as you assume. It's not about assumptions and opinions but it's about revelation knowledge of knowing that you are a saved, remnant, believer in Christ and you are member of the family of God.
Don't waste your time doing religious ⛪️ things yet lost within the church. Church leaders are here to teach and preach God's Word and point us to Christ. We are to live in the light of God's Word and our faith hinges on what Christ has done for us. Nothing more and nothing less.
Religion does not give life but life is found in Christ.
