This is not a criticism of any ministry, department, or local church. Rather, it is something for us as church leaders to prayerfully consider and reflect upon.
A church can be very busy with programs, events, seminars, and activities throughout the year, yet still struggle to accomplish Christ's primary mission; to make disciples and lead people to Jesus Christ.
Sometimes we become so focused on planning and conducting programs that we forget to ask a very important question: ๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐? ๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐? ๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐?
Perhaps it is time for us as leaders to carefully evaluate our church calendars. It may not be necessary for every department or ministry to host a program every quarter simply for the purpose of completing reports. The success of a ministry should not be measured by the number of programs conducted, but by how effectively it contributes to the mission of Christ.
Instead of many disconnected activities, we may be better served by having fewer, well-planned programs that are intentionally designed for evangelism, witnessing, discipleship, and community outreach. Every ministry should ask itself, "๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฉ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง?"
As leaders, we should be willing to filter out programs that do not align with the church's mission or that duplicate efforts without producing meaningful spiritual outcomes. Our ministries should work in harmony, synchronized under one mission rather than operating independently with separate agendas. It is sad to see some local churches exhausted their members through more local churches programs.
Looking ahead to ๐๐๐๐, we have the major mission initiative ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ before us. During the recent launch at Bautama, it was encouraging to hear ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ, clearly outline the vision, strategy, and personal study guides that will support this mission. The direction was practical, mission-focused, and centered on preparing members for evangelism and disciple-making.
My hope is that every local church, district, and ministry will align its annual plans and calendars next year 2027 with this major mission. Rather than filling our schedules with activities that compete for time and resources, let us unite our efforts behind the common goal of reaching souls for Christ.
The church does not exist merely to run programs. The church exists to fulfill the mission of Jesus.

As leaders, let us prayerfully ask:

May every ministry, every department, and every local church move forward with ๐๐ง๐ ๐
๐๐ข๐ญ๐ก, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐๐ for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
When Christ is at the center, programs become tools for ministry. When programs become the center, Christ can easily be pushed to the margins.
