THE GREAT CONTROVERSY AS SEEN IN VIRAL PATHOLOGY
“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH.” Isaiah 14:14 – 15.
In order for Satan to truly be like the most High, he would have to be a creator. However, we know that Satan, with all of his wit and knowledge, cannot create. In fact Jesus said the opposite of him in John 10:10:
“The thief cometh not, but for TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.”
Also in John 8:44:
“Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
Now with that ground work laid. The next question I wish to ask is could Satan have ever tried to create something???
I suggest that he has indeed tried in the past, and that something, bears his character. That “something” is THE VIRUS.
VIRUSES ARE NOT LIVING ORGANISMS. Living organisms, no matter how small (like bacteria), RESPIRE, EAT, MOVE, GROW and REPRODUCE. Viruses, however, do not respiring, eating, or grow. But all scientist agree that they are more than very complex chemicals. Viruses do not fit into any of the five kingdoms of the well accepted classification system of living organisms.
What are viruses made of?
All viruses consist of A PIECE OF GENETIC MATERIAL (DNA or RNA), usually surrounded by a protein coat and sometimes also by a membrane. When we look at some of them under a microscope (an electron microscope is needed to see them in any detail) some of them seem to have more weird shapes than many monsters in science fiction films.
Question: But where do scientist say that the virus comes from.??? Notice, that they really do not know, but suggest that they could have a like to genetic engineering:
Where did viruses come from?
Viruses seem to have evolved quite recently. Some scientists think that many cells contain fragments of DNA or RNA that can reproduce independently of the cells themselves.
❶ Fragments of naked DNA (Plasmids)
❷ Or naked RNA (Viroids),
They may, at some time during evolution, have become surrounded by a protein coat and a membrane, giving rise to viruses.
Thought: If viruses are pieces of DNA or RNA which 'escape' from host cells, it would make sense for their sequences to be similar to sequences found in the host genome. It is therefore possible that viruses are actually more closely related to their hosts than to each other.
Today, both viruses and plasmids are essential tools in the Development Of DNA Technology, including the techniques used in genetic engineering.
Now we know that post-deluvian humans began genetic engineering (as far as we know) in the 20th century. But people have been catching colds (which are caused by viruses) since days of old. Therefore, had to have “evolved” (created in some laboratory) before the Great Flood.
Characteristics of a Virus:
1. VIRUSES have NO useful function. Their entire life cycle is
a. Travel around until it finds an unwitting cell to attack
b. Invade the cell, by attaching to a receptor site (a receptor site is a specialized place on the cell that is used to bring in certain nutrients from the blood. It is set up like a lock and key system where only certain nutrients have the “key” to open up a receptor site. If it does not have a key. The nutrient can’t get in. Viruses, have found a way to mimic the “key” and open up certain receptor sites.
Note: if there are no receptor sites that the virus recognizes, it CANNOT gain entry to the cell. It is also interesting to note that the cell ALWAYS gives permission to the virus to come in. The virus, “lies” to the cell, by presenting the “key” like it is a nutrient, and the ignorant cell, opens the door, and even escorts the virus in).
c. Once inside the cell, the virus begins its deadly work. Its first order of business, is to go the nucleus, the control center of the cell. It “hijacks” the nucleus so that the cell stops carrying on its daily life, functions (like eating, getting ride of wastes, etc). The virus completely takes over the nuclear machinery and begins producing clones of itself.
d. In the span of 15 minutes, the cell has produced all of the building blocks of the virus, and the virus sets up an “assembly line” to put together all of the viral pieces (like assembling a model set).
e. After 10 more minutes, the cell may have hundreds or even thousands of new viruses in it.
f. Finally, the virus cause the cell to explode, releasing thousands of new viruses to do the same thing to thousands more cells.
Conclusion: The virus comes only to steal (take over the cell), kill (the host cell by stopping its life producing activity), and destroy (by exploding out of the cell). It comes as a liar (deceiving its way into the cell), and a murder.
2. It is also very interesting to note that some viruses are much more deceptive. This special class of viruses, once inside the cell, pe*****te the nucleus, and integrate itself into the DNA of the cell. Every time the cell reproduces, a part of that virus is reproduced into the new cell. Thousands of reproductions can occur and the viruses will be found in every single cell. When environmental conditions are right (like a time of trouble), the viruses in the thousands or millions of cells will come alive, and begin their deadly work in every single cell.
3. Once a cell is infected with a virus, there is NO hope for it. The only way to kill the virus is to kill it, and the host cell.
4. A virus cannot live on its own. It cannot reproduce on its own. It MUST have a host cell, or it will very soon die.
5. Viruses break every rule of life replication. Living organisms multiply by replicating double stranded nucleic acid, called DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). DNA is ALWAYS double stranded. The proteins needed to sustain the life is make by single stranded nucleic acid called Ribonucleic acid. RNA is ALWAYS single stranded, and the is ALWAYS made by DNA, ALWAYS, except in viruses. In viruses, one can find, single stranded DNA, double stranded RNA, and in some cases, DNA that is MADE by RNA (this class is called retroviruses, to which HIV and AIDS are members). To get an idea of how crazy that is, it would be the same as if a new born baby girl, or a little child gave birth to an old man, who grew younger and younger as the years passed by.
Virus Morphology
Viruses come in 3 major shapes, helical, icosahedral, and composite. The helical shape is long, slender and ph***ic shaped (like the Washington monument obelisk in Washington D.C).
The second shape, the icosahedral, is a fancy way of saying a 3-dimensional hexagon.(a hexagon is a six-sided figure). The icosahedral is made out of equilateral triangular shapes (note that on a triangle, there are 3 corners, each having a degree measure of 60: i.e. 60, 60, and 60). Often times it will have little protrusions making it look like a solar sun disk.
The third shape is a composite of the other two with the addition of 6, leg like structures. It is the primary shape for the bacteriophage (it has this name because its specialty infects and kill bacteria). I found it really interesting that this virus had so many six side, shapes, angles, and attachments. Coincidence? Think again.

It is clear to me that this thing looks like something that a child could think up, and yet, it is what is killing millions of people every year.

Conclusion: Satan, may have tried to create life, by forming viruses. However, because he is not the creator, his creations, are neither alive, nor reproducing. Nevertheless, they do bear his nature as a liar, and their, a murder, and destroyers. Praise God, that, He will come, and destroy, everything that is not like Him, including viruses.
