SPECTRUM’s Alexander Carpenter, and Bjorn Karlman, executive director of Adventist Today, are in Papua New Guinea seeking to understand what Adventism looks like in one of the denomination’s fastest-growing regions.
In this first dispatch, they attend the country’s largest Adventist church, share a Sabbath with Prime Minister James Marape, and begin exploring the complex relationship between faith, culture, and explosive church growth.
