The Papua New Guinea Union Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Business Session has commenced.

We warmly welcome delegates from the South Pacific Division, including Pr. Glenn Townend and his team, together with representatives from local missions across the country.

The official opening ceremony is currently underway at Bautama Mission Ground.

Wishing everyone a Happy Sabbath as we unite in prayer, fellowship, and mission.

On the eve of Papua New Guinea's golden jubilee in 2025, we lost a pillar of our country.

We express our deepest grief for the loss of one of our nation's last founding fathers, Sir Julius Chan.

But remain hopeful in the founding principles of Truth and Justice as derived from the Word of God that inspired our fathers to establish this country.

May the youth of today step forward and usurp leadership as laid by those gone before us, and prepare citizens not just for this world but for the Kingdom to come.

Rest easy now, till we meet again on the golden morning, God willing.

FREEWILL OFFERING - MORESBY SOUTH DISTRICT

This is a courtesy announcement to all church families and local church leaders of Moresby South District (MSD) that there will be a "Special FREEWILL Offering" worship service this Sabbath as follows;

Date: 27 Jan 2024
Time: 9am - 12pm
Venue: Bautama church grounds
Purpose: To assist all the evangelistic meeting sites in the MSD for the PNG For Christ Reaping Campaign.

Please plan and prepare prayerfully for this worship service.

A special prayer request from the Michigan Conference.

Many across the conference may have heard about the tragic accident involving Dr. Ranjan Fernando. Please read the following update/announcement from Jeremy Hall, superintendent of schools for the Michigan Conference.

On Sabbath, June 17th, Dr. Ranjan Fernando (Battle Creek Academy Principal) and his son were involved in a serious car accident. Ranjan sustained significant injuries and is currently in the hospital. We solicit your prayers for Ranjan at this time as well as his family as they support their father. Currently, there is no more information to share, and because the accident happened recently, we are waiting to understand the extent of the injuries and the recovery process. Thank you for protecting the privacy of the family and please direct any specific questions to the Education office. Also, at this time, the family is asking for no visitations but very much appreciates the prayers taking place across Michigan on behalf of their father. We plan to provide further updates as we receive pertinent information as we're able to.
