๐ŸŒ Can evangelism become culturally insensitive without realizing it?
A researcher from Papua New Guinea explains why understanding peopleโ€™s worldview is essential for sharing the gospel effectively. In Melanesian culture, spiritual beliefs shape how messages are understood โ€” even when the words are correct.

โœจ โ€œEverything is connected by spiritual strings.โ€
This reflection reminds us that mission begins with listening, understanding, and building relationships.

For the first time in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a global missionary movement will synchronize message, timing, and outreach across every continent โ€“ reaching 63% of the world's 8.1 billion people through digital platforms.

The initiative is OneVoice27, launched following the 2025 Annual Council and rooted in the church's 2025โ€“2030 Strategic Plan. It is named to align with the year 2027, which will mark 2,000 years since the baptism of Jesus Christ.

According to the plan, every platform becomes an opportunity and every member a messenger. Television, radio, internet, and publishing will work together as one network of light, uplifting Christ and connecting people to local churches.

The strategic significance is clear: digital platforms now reach the majority of the planet's population. OneVoice27 seeks to harness this unprecedented access to ensure that the everlasting gospel reaches every people group.

September 2027 will serve as the culmination โ€“ a month of synchronized outreach, harvest events, and disciple-making across the globe.

โ€œThis is a global call to unity in message and action, grounded in the Bible and focused on the mission,โ€ the initiative declares.

"When a father leaves this world, he takes the shelter of his strength with him. The pain is not only that he is gone, but that life must now be faced without the hands that once carried every burden for you."

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard ~Proverbs 31:10, 15-16
Today, God is calling us to live lives of purpose and integrity. Whether man or woman, young or old, we are called to reflect godly wisdom in our daily lives.

In 1931, on the Osage reservation in Oklahoma, a 14-year-old boy named Charles was taken by county sheriffโ€™s deputies.

His crime? Speaking his tribal language at a public well.

According to reports from tribal elders, the boy was sent to a federal boarding school 300 miles away. His mother, Mary, walked barefoot to the courthouse the next morning. She demanded a hearing. The judge refused to see her because she did not speak English.

So Mary sat down on the courthouse steps.

She returned every single morning for 47 years. She brought coffee in a tin cup. She never yelled. She never cried in public. She simply waited. Some witnesses later claimed she whispered her sonโ€™s name to the wooden courthouse doors each day.

Charles escaped the boarding school at 19. He joined the merchant marine. He wrote one letter to his motherโ€”but it was returned โ€œaddressee unknown.โ€ The county had sold her land to a white rancher while she was sitting on the steps.

In 1978, a young lawyer noticed Mary sitting in the snow. She was now 89. He dug through archives and found Charles alive in Seattle. He was 62.

The lawyer drove Mary 2,000 miles to a small apartment in Seattle. She knocked. An old man opened the door.

He did not recognize her at first.

Then she held up the yellow feather he had given her when he was seven years old. He fell to his knees.

Inspired by real events: The judge who ignored her had died in 1965. Mary lived three more years. She never returned to Oklahoma.
