1. The Heart Determines Everything
- The condition of the heart shapes our decisions, actions, and spiritual direction (Prov. 4:23).

2. Guard the Heart with God’s Word
- We are called to protect our hearts by grounding them in Scripture (Ps. 119:11).

3. The Heart Affects Reception of Truth
- A hardened or closed heart cannot receive God’s instruction effectively (Matt. 13:15).

4. Spiritual Discernment is Essential
- Understanding God’s Word requires spiritual sensitivity, not just intellectual effort (1 Cor. 2:14).

5. Openness to God Enables Growth
- A willing and receptive heart allows God to teach, correct, and transform us (Job 22:22).
