Christian Union Church Building in Progress (Lae, Morobe)

Old tent house fellowship is to be replaced by the new building.

Work progress report

- stumps being put up
- bearers placed and bolted
- thrust is being built
Roofing irons and ridge caps being bought.
- hoping that next Sunday fellowship be under the new roof.

To God be the glory.

Greetings everyone in the name of King Jesus Christ.
I am here to inform all members of Christian Union church of PNG that we have established a New Work in Lae two years ago.

With the help of Missionary Seth Porter and members of Christian Union Church have settled the Pastor there earlier this year, 2022.
Mt Hagen District board with few others have built the permanent house for Pastor Paulus Mandi from Hagen.

However, they are worshiping under tent for quite long.

Therefore, Seth Potter with Mt Hagen District board with few members of the church are taking down timbers to build a permanent church building there this Saturday 3rd September, 2022. Construction work will begin next week Monday 5 September, 2022.

The funds raised to build this church is not enough to do much of the work as expected.

For this reason I request all Church members if we can help build this new church.

We have churches in the Highlands, in the Papuan Region, in the New Guinea Island regions but not in Momase Region. Lae church is the only church started that will reach out to other parts of the province and the entire Momase Region.

Morning Devotion

Title : Teaching children

"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:7"
Devotion : The Almighty God instructed the leaders of Israel to teach His commandments, statutes, and judgments to their children. Every husband was to make sure their children were taught God's commandments, statutes, and judgments. Their conversation should be full of them when they sit, walk, lie down, and rise. God told them to pass on these laws from one generation to the next. He did not want them forgotten. Today God wants us to do the same to His Word; He wants us to meditate on it day and night and observe it in practice. He also wants us to pass it on from one generation to the next. Dear friends, can God count on you to pass on His word to the next generation?
Yes, in this generation of moral decaying society, possessing God's word is key to good standing and upholding quality principles, values and positive characters. It's through quality parenting in imparting the word of God. It's you as a parent to teach your children God's word everyday.
God bless you all in raising children of good character in acting the word of God.

The photo attached is the church members of Christian Union Church in Lae.

The land to which the church is erected is a land bought by a couple who are the members of Christian Union Church.
The block is the only property the young couple own but they have given up to the church. The young man who bought the land said, "people mustn't call this block mine but he instructed all people to call this block A CHURCH AREA." I was thrilled when heard him said this.

I appeal to all CUC working class that all of us give to God what he gives us that his Kingdom must be extended within PNG.

Please let's all pray for the young couple and the church in Lae .

Christian Union church, Mt Hagen District will have its first combine Sunday fellowship at New Town Church, Mt Hagen on Feb 20, 2022.
All members of Christian Union church in western Highlands province are to attend the fellowship.

Mary received Jesus Christ into her heart when accepting the Angel's announcement of Jesus's entering this world through her.
It was quite impossible but Mary just accepted the word by saying " It can happen to me as you say".
In this passive season, you might encounter difficult situations in life but turn to God by accepting his words and he will make all impossibilities possible.
