Tagali LLG in Tari District, Hela Province, is made up of 19 council wards and currently has only one organized Seventh-day Adventist Church β Kongiapi Church. The LLG also has one branch church, Pii Nakia, highlighting the great need for continued gospel outreach in the area.
Recently, the Hela Adventist Students Ministry conducted evangelism programs in Tagali LLG during their last convention and also initiated the Pii Nakia Health Post Project, bringing both spiritual and community development support to the people. Several customary landowners have willingly donated land for future church building projects, opening doors for the expansion of the Advent message in the region.
The Kongiapi Church family, under the leadership of Pastor Philip Maima, has been faithfully leading the mission efforts in this challenging but promising field. Their dedication and commitment to reaching souls in Tagali deserve recognition and support from the wider church community.
Tagali LLG shares its borders with Enga Province, yet for many years, very few church programs and mission initiatives were specifically planned to reach this part of Hela. Today, however, the church has a fresh opportunity to strategically plan at all levels on how to advance the gospel work into this largely unreached area.
As a church, we are reminded to look beyond our comfort zones and focus on our provincial border communities where many souls are still waiting to hear the Advent message. May Godβs will continue to be fulfilled through willing hearts who are prepared to reach out to the dying world with hope and salvation.
Our prayers and support remain with the Kongiapi Church family and Pastor Philip Maima as they continue to lead the mission work in Tagali LLG, Tari District, Hela Province. π
