Farewell Pr. David Fletcher.

Pr. David Fletcher was farwelled and given gifts and souvenirs by the Asaro Watabung District this evening after a week long meeting. In appreciation, he presented the District a Ram Horn Trumpet (shofar) taken from Isreal during his visit there. He encouraged the the congregation with the words of the song, "Lift up the trumpet, and loud let it ring:Jesus is coming again!"... And he blew the trumpet before passing it to the District Director, Pr. Peter Fago.

We are blessed to have Pr. David Fletcher from the South Australian Conference as our Guest Speaker for this weeklong retention camp meeting. What a privilege to host him here at Mapemo(PNG) as he shares with us timely messages of hope.

Gimisave Church Visited by GC Treasurer and Team

A small church in Asaro, newly established after an election conflict in 2017, was honored to host the General Conference Treasurer/CFO, Elder Paul Douglas. He was accompanied by Francois Keet, South Pacific Division's Chief Financial Controller; Kenton Ghona, PNG Union Mission CFO; and the administrative heads of Eastern Highlands Simbu Mission.

On the afternoon of December 17, 2024, the church members of Gimisave excitedly provided a memorable traditional welcome to Elder Douglas and his team. Elder Douglas was on the ground to visit a few recipients of the 800 Dollar Church Initiative. He offered a special prayer for the church members and later inspected the church building, which is still under construction.

On behalf of the church, Elder Bob Holoso presented the three Chief Financial Controllers with handmade souvenirs as they departed.

THE HISTORICAL BAPTISM AT THE LAKE YAUNDE, MT. WILHEM

The Mt. Wilhem Expedition by Ambassadors from Moresby North East and moresby east ended on a high note with the historical baptism of Fred Mikawe, an Ambassador from the Wildlife seventh day Adventist Church.

There were no baptism at this lake and it was for the first time. The baptism was conducted by Pr. Joe Kauga, Youth director of the central Papua Conference.

Central Papaua Conference (CPC) Ambassador Delegate grace our ordination program today with massaging songs. We were blessed to have them since Thursday as they pass through to climb Mt. Whilhem in Simbu Province. CPC Youth Director Pr. Joe Kauga was also with us today and offered the Ordination Prayer for our new Elders and church officers for 2025. Leaders of 4 organised churches which are Wande, Panuko, Lakomiyufa and Mapemo were present for this combined ordination service.
