It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Pastor. Winnie Nano, who was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, 15 February 2026, at the age of 57.
For some time she battled illness, but through it all she remained steadfast in faith, love, and service.
“Mother Winnie,” as she was known by her family and church congregation, faithfully stood beside her husband Pastor. Christopher Nano in ministry, serving the communities of Suau and Alotau with humility and compassion.
She poured her life into young people, our temple kids, guiding them with wisdom, discipline, and encouragement. She was always giving: whether through kind words, finance, loving correction, or sharing from the fruit of her gardens. Her life truly reflected the love of God in action.
Mother Winnie was a deeply respected and joyful part of our church family. From her warm laughter to her faithful support in ministry as the Senior Pastor’s wife, she strengthened many lives and helped build the work of the Lord among us.
We especially uphold our Senior Pastor. Christopher Nano, her beloved husband and partner in ministry, during this time of great loss. We stand with him and the entire Nano family in prayer, love, and support.
As a church family, we grieve together, yet we remain confident in the hope of the resurrection.
Mother Winnie will be greatly missed, but her legacy of faith, service, and unconditional love will continue to live on in and in the many lives she has touched, both young and old.
