Church Of Magi (Urdu Speaking Congregation Salalah, Oman) currently named as St.Marks's Church Of Pakistan was founded in the year 1980 by Rev.Samuel Ghulam Masih (Late) and the then committee members. Rev.Samuel Ghulam Masih was the first ordained priest since 1980.He served the Church from 1980-1986.After he left, the church was run by different church leaders from 1986-1992. On July 17,1992 Rev.Augustine Mall took over as the new parish priest and is serving the congregation ever since. The following July he will be completing 22 years of service with the same parish. The new church building of St.Mark's Church Of Pakistan was dedicated by Rt.Rev.Dr.Azad Marshall Bishop of Gulf and Iran Diocese. St.Mark's Church Of Pakistan is an interdenominational congregation. The church believes in one true Almighty God. Our faith is based on the truths of the Holy Bible((the 66 canonical books being the sole authority that determine the church's functioning) and we believe Lord Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and the Holy Spirit is our comforter and helper. We also believe in the universality of the church wherein the church is the transmitter and repository of the good news. Marks' Church is in a wider sense interdenominational- it is not only a church for all within the Christian sphere, but also a house of prayer for all nations. In addition, the church assumes its responsibility as the defender of faith and regards apologetics as an obligatory part of evangelization.
