Why Messianic?
and not Christian?

The word “Christian” comes from “Christ,” the Greek word “Christos,” meaning “anointed one,” which is a translation of the Hebrew word “Mashiach” or Messiah.
Messianics are followers of the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua—Jesus in English.
Like Christians, Messianics are diverse, all united by faith in Yeshua.

How do we at Beth-El Messianic Family follow Yeshua?
We celebrate Shabbat, because Yeshua said the Sabbath was made for mankind - Mark 2:27.
At Beth-El, every Shabbat we read the Torah, Haftarah, and B’rit Chadashah—the Old and New Testament - which is an extension of the Torah, which still applies, as Yeshua said:

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.”
Mattithyahu Matthew 5:18
NASA confirms heaven and earth are still here, so the Torah stands!
