Calling Tokelauan Youth and young at heart (16-30 years old) for Fagatua Research!

What:
Join IIlai Elekana Manūfor a special Fagatua research project during the October school holidays. An awesome opportunity to learn and participate in fagatua (Tokelauan traditional wrestling) while being part of a health-focused programme.

When:
📅 Dates: October School Holidays
🕕 Sessions: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
⏰ Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Kaiga Fakaofo Hall

Why join in?

Learn fagatua, a valuable part of Tokelauan tradition and culture.
Participate in all 6 sessions and contribute to important health research.
Connect with other Tokelauan peers in a fun, supportive environment.
Earn a $100 gift card for completing all sessions!

Who Can Join?

We’re looking for Tokelauan youth aged 16-30 years who are committed to participating in all 6 sessions over the 2 weeks.

Reminiscing as i walk this space today and I'm reminded of your faces, those no longer with us in flesh but definitely in spirit. Many seeds were planted and the growth I've known youz have all experienced since makes me grateful to be a part of your life journey, even if it was for a minute in the bigger scheme of things. Make the most of every one in your life, you never know when God's call home will arrive.

Malo ni tatou W4C Kaiga!

We hope that you all are well and that our loving Lord is continuing to bless your households with his love.

Would just like to apologize for not having youth sessions last term and for those that are wondering when we will start back, we will organise a meeting soon, date tbc.

All youth groups within the Holy Family Parish have been invited to a workshop on Sunday, 5th of May, 3:30pm -5:30pm @ Holy Family school hall. The focus is trying to form a Holy Family Parish Youth Group. In order for our Tokelau Youth group to move forward and into the future we propose that we all attend this Sunday's session, and then we get together as our Tokelau youth group at a later date, where we can talanoa and share our thoughts about what the year will look like.

Malo ni tatou kaiga,

Our two spots that we have for our sessions are unavailable tonight, so unfortunately we won't be having a session tonight.

We would like to give a massive shout out to all of our youth members who have finished up college for the year and who are either prepping for exams or planning for next year studies. Always put our Loving Lord in front so that he can support you ni.

Another huge thank you to our Amazing kaulotu for their beautiful singing at Youth mass yesterday. Also to Hanele for his awesome musical skills. ❤
