4. The Jesus in the New Testament fulfills every prophesy made centuries earlier in the Old Testament. This is statistically impossible to happen by chance.

5. Jesus’ death and resurrection is logically supported by affirmative and circumstantial evidence. No other explanation other than what’s presented in the New Testament can adequately explain the massive cultural shift and rapid growth of the Christian church.

Evidence For God

The explosion of new scientific discoveries in the last 60 years or so has revealed more and more about the precise conditions that are undeniably necessary for life on earth to exist. As the number of known critical variables increases, the odds of a planet with all these elements and conditions to support life forming by chance is virtually impossible. Many of these conditions are highly scientific, but we’ll touch on several that are fairly straightforward.

Size of the Earth
The size of the earth is perfect to sustain life. If Earth was slightly larger, it would have more gravity. With more gravity, certain dangerous gases like methane, would remain close to the earth’s surface and not dissipate in the atmosphere. Life could not coexist with high quantities of these gases. On the other hand, if Earth was slightly smaller and had less gravity, water v***r would not stay close to the surface. Life can’t exist without water.

Earth’s Atmosphere
The earth’s atmosphere is uniquely suited to sustain all life. It protects us from the vacuum of space, shields us from incoming ultraviolet (UV) radiation, prevents water from v***rizing into space, provides necessary oxygen, regulates our temperatures, and guards us from the impact of meteoroids and solar flares. Without the atmosphere, Earth would not be viable for life.

Distance from the Earth to the Sun
Earth happens to orbit the sun within the so-called "Goldilocks zone," where temperatures are just right to maintain liquid water on our planet's surface, and provide suitable temperature ranges for life.

Density of Water and Ice
As a general scientific rule, a substance moving from gas ➞ liquid ➞ solid becomes more dense and heavy. Amazingly, this rule does not apply to water. As water cools towards a solid state (ice), it becomes less dense. By the time it becomes solid, it’s lighter than its liquid state. If water did not have this bizarre quirk, then lakes and other water sources would freeze from the bottom up, and fish and other aquatic life would not survive. There are many other extremely unique properties of water that make life on earth possible, such as its high heat capacity that moderates temperatures around the globe.

Earth’s Rotation and Tilt
Earths rotation rate regulates temperatures and provides the perfect amount of radiant energy to the entire planet. If the rotation rate were slower, temperature swings between day and night would be too extreme. If it were faster, wind and weather patterns would become more devastating, and ocean levels would rise catastrophically around the equator. Earth also tilts on its axis at a precise angle that provides moderate seasonal changes and regulates temperatures around the world.

Earth’s Moon
The moon’s size and unique orbit contribute greatly to the life-sustaining stabilization of earth’s tilt and rotation. The moon’s gravity also creates the tides in our oceans, keeping coastline waters from becoming stagnant and driving currents around the world. The moon also helps to protect Earth from damage caused by incoming meteoroids that are pulled toward the moon by its gravity.

What may often be overlooked by the "day unto day" text of (Psalm 19:1-2) of our existence is that the very dependability of each day's processes are a wonderful testimony to the design, purposes, and faithfulness of the Creator. The whole core of evolutionary naturalism, however, is randomness, an unknowable, undependable chaos and disorder. The universe, on the other hand, is very stable!

• The sun rises in the east and sets in the west—always.
• The earth turns on its axis and cycles through its “day” at the same speed every time—always.
• The dependable clockwork precision of the tides regulates much of our life—always.
• The seasons come and go, the planting and harvesting follow each other dependably, life is conceived and born with regularity, even “natural selection” preserves and conserves the vast species of earth—always.

This wordless "language" is easily read by all humanity, and openly "declares" that God is awesomely omnipotent and omniscient, and at the same time lovingly compassionate and faithful. All living creatures depend on it.

Unlike the 'Energizer Bunny', which just keeps going and going on its own power (or so the ad would have you believe), the universe is running out of available energy and is becoming more chaotic, or disorderly, as time goes on. Eventually, there will be no more energy available throughout the universe to accomplish any work. So where did all the original available energy come from, i.e. how was it 'wound up' initially? Someone outside of the universe had to have created it orderly in the beginning—that Someone was God.

Life Demands a Life-Giver. Scientists have tried in vain to create life from non-life, or even from "soups" of laboratory chemicals. They have utterly failed! The law of biogenesis states that life can only come from life. Astrophysicist Hugh Ross comments on these failed attempts: "Even under highly favorable conditions of a laboratory, these soups have failed to produce anything remotely resembling life. One problem is that they produce only a random distribution of left- and right-handed pre-biotic molecules… Life chemistry demands that all the molecules be either right- or left-handed. With all our learning and technology we cannot even come close to bringing life together in the lab" (The Creator and the Cosmos, Ross, 1993, p. 148).

Even though science has never—not even once—created life from non-life, some scientists are so determined to reject the idea of a Creator God that they put aside their own scientific objectivity and stake their belief on what science has shown to be impossible. The scientific method requires observation, experimentation and human reasoning. No physical experiment can "prove" God in a scientific sense. Science can only produce experimental results that are either consistent or inconsistent with the hypothesis of a Creator God. Yet what happens when scientists encounter facts that are consistent with a Creator? Many will dogmatically declare that there cannot be a God, ironically making a "religion" out of their unscientific atheism!

Notice this quote by Nobel Prize-winning scientist George Wald: "The reasonable view was to believe in spontaneous generation; the only alternative, to believe in a single, primary act of supernatural creation. There is no third position. One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible. Yet here we are as a result, I believe, of spontaneous generation" ("The Origin of Life," Scientific American, August 1954, p. 46).

Amazing! A Nobel Prize-winning scientist calls it "impossible" yet believes it to be true! We must not be deceived by scientific theorizing that has no basis in reality. Wald's phrase "spontaneous generation" may sound impressive, but however erudite such a phrase may sound, it is not scientific truth, and does not agree with true science and the real world! As true science recognizes, life can only come from life.

The Bible explains that life originally came from the Life-Giver: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being" (Genesis 2:7). Or, as the KJV has it, "man became a living soul." God gave physical life to human beings and many other life forms. God is also the giver of spiritual life.

Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The Hexagon: An Indication of Order and Design in Nature

In nature, noncoincidental patterns and geometry exist everywhere. But the number six appears to overshadow nature’s mathematical landscape. Whether in beehives, rock formations, or insect eyes, the number six, specifically hexagonal geometry, stands front and center. Could this just be a mathematical coincidence, or is there something more to this widespread hexagonal geometry?

The Laws of Thermodynamics

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that the total quantity of matter and energy in the universe is constant. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that matter and energy always tend to change from complex and ordered states to disordered states. Therefore the universe could not have created itself, but could not have existed forever, or it would have run down long ago. Thus the universe, including matter and energy, apparently must have been created.

Contrary to popular evolutionary dogma, the human genome is actually degrading over time. It’s devolving, not evolving. At the beginning of creation, Adam and Eve’s genomes would have been pristine, with no errors. Then they both fell into sin and brought a curse upon creation, causing increasing amounts of DNA decay and progressive loss of genetic information in successive generations of their offspring. This degeneration is due to multiple slightly harmful mutations that occur during each generation, and the accumulation rate of these genetic alterations is indicative of a human origin in agreement with the biblical chronology of about 6,000 years.

In fact, as I have documented previously, empirical genetic clocks determined by both secular and creation researchers indicate a beginning point of human variation associated with degeneration starting about 5,000 to 10,000 years ago.10,11 This recent time frame also fits closely with a pattern of human life expectancy that quickly and continually declined after the global Flood.
