A Prayer for Fathers’ Day

God our Loving Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.

We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance in joys and in struggles, in balancing family, faith and work.

We pray for fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.

We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice.

We give thanks for mothers who, at times, have had to carry both roles, and for the love, strength and care they give to their children and families.

We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.

Amen.

Happy Father’s Day. 💙

Could you make a difference in a young person's life?

Children and young people experience change, loss, and grief in many different ways. Seasons for Growth is an evidence-based programme that helps them understand these experiences, build resilience, and realise they are not alone.

We're encouraging anyone with a heart for supporting young people to consider becoming a Seasons for Growth Companion.

As a trained Companion, you'll facilitate small group sessions in safe, supportive environments, helping participants develop communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

📅 Training Dates: 7 & 8 July (two consecutive days)
💻 Available face-to-face or online

This training is ideal for:
• Teachers
• Pastoral care workers
• Youth leaders
• Social workers
• Community volunteers
• Anyone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

📞 To register or find out more, contact [email protected].

Together, we can help young people grow through life's seasons with hope, resilience, and support. 💚
