The Lord Answered Their Prayer and Rescued Them from the Devastating Flood
The Lord has answered the prayers of Dil Maya and her two friends and rescued them from the devastating flood in Nuwakot. Dil Maya and her two friends had come to Bidur Bazaar, Nuwakot, from Dumre, Tanahun District for their regular basket business without knowing what would happen. They arrived just one day before the massive flood struck the area.
On August 27, the second day of the flood, I traveled to Nuwakot with my disaster management team, carrying relief supplies. While we were there, we saw these three elderly women standing in sadness and uncertainty. We asked them about their situation. They shared with us that they had come from Dumre, Tanahun, for business, but due to flood roads and bridges severely damaged by the flood, they were unable to return home not only there is no way to go but they did not have money in their pocket because they did not manage to do business. They were stranded and did not know how they would safely get back to their families.
After hearing their situation, we decided to rescue them. We brought them safely from Nuwakot to Kathmandu, and from Kathmandu, we arranged for them to travel onward to Dumre, so they could finally return home safely.
Seeing the happiness on their faces brought great joy and peace to our hearts. Their experience reminded us that God sees those who are in crisis and need, hears their prayers, and God can provide help through His people at the right time.
Helping and supporting our brothers and sisters in their time of trouble is more than humanitarian work—it is also an act of worship to the Lord. As Jesus said: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40
We give all glory and thanks to the Lord for protecting Dil Maya and her two friends, answering their prayers, and giving us the opportunity to be His hands and feet in their time of need.

Anglican Leadership Conference 2026
“Called to Rise, Chosen to Shine”
Anglican leaders gathered at St. Mark Golgotha Church on 3-4 June 2026. It is wonderful time of worship, prayer, fellowship, and leadership development under the theme “Called to Rise, Chosen to Shine.” The conference provided an opportunity for clergy, cluster incharges, area coordinators and leaders to seek God's guidance, strengthen unity, and be equipped for faithful ministry and mission.
Together, participants were encouraged to rise to their calling and shine as Christ's witnesses in their churches and communities.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." — Isaiah 60:1
