The growing trend of Biblical illiteracy, the erosion of True doctrine is causing a decline in authoritative Christianity; were your Jesus could be different from my Jesus, yet we are going to the same church and bearing the same title; (Christian), this is how to be effectively deceived.

Reading the Bible habitually alone does not make much difference, many have read the Bible cover to cover and are still shallow because they lack the courage or will power to UNCOMPROMISINGLY SURRENDER to the Word, the Bible to them is just like a novel and not necessarily something to live by.

But if you don’t get into the habit of reading your Bible as manual for life, you will not know the truth, and you will NOT be set free.
You will want to live in the spirit, without first dying to self.
You will want to follow Jesus, without surrendering your all.
You will be offended by the truth and seek to evolve it.
Your Christianity would be a sub-culture to the world, rather than a counter-culture.
You will attempt to have the best of both worlds, thinking you can play in the cosmic chess match and outwit Satan, and THE MOST HIGH to your selfish advantage.

You will eventually have an IDENTITY CRISES, and sell your soul for a piece of dust.

"See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness."-Luke 11:35.
Your identity will be defined by whatever you give your heart to.

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."-Psalm 119:105. It's a state of the heart.
Physical sight is useless when our mind is blind, and there are many BRIGHT THINGS in the world that keep us from seeing the true Light of Christ—just like city lights keep us from seeing the stars.

"He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is a man of truth; in Him there is no falsehood."-John 7:18.
When you swap Divine wisdom for human wisdom, when you replace the teachings of Jesus with trending culture, or traditions of men; YOUR LIGHT HAS BECOME DARKNESS.
No matter how eloquent, packaged, wise, successful, respected, and famous you are; if JESUS IS NOT AT THE CENTRE, you're darkness.

Jesus is the only Truth we should be hearing, He is the only Way should be following, Jesus is the only Light we should be seeing.
