Grass sod has been laid in the garden strips in front of the Managua Nicaragua Temple where palm trees were recently planted. Pavers are being laid for the walkways, and plants are being established in the flowerbeds. The permanent fence has been installed around the property where several buildings are under construction including the temple, an accommodation center, a meetinghouse, and buildings for maintenance. Royal palm trees have been planted on the grounds of the Managua Nicaragua Temple in two parallel lines, both flanked by walkways that lead to the main entrance. Hardscape elements are being installed in the garden strip between the two lines of trees, including concrete planters and a water feature. Sheathing boards are being fastened to the steeple pedestal that sits atop the Managua Nicaragua Temple. With cladding of the building's main floor exterior walls closer to completion, the steeple is now being prepared for stone cladding. The temple is the first to be constructed in the country. Crews at the Managua Nicaragua Temple have made significant progress on cladding the exterior walls of the temple. The stone pieces are manufactured and numbered for placement on the temple at precise locations. The stonework features beautiful pilasters, moldings, and window arches with keystones. The steel frame for the steeple of the Managua Nicaragua Temple has been erected over the center of the pedestal. The tiered structure will feature a windowed lantern topped with a domed cupola and finial. The main floor exterior walls have been coated with a concrete sealer, and pilaster frames have been secured to the corners. The steeple pedestal for the Managua Nicaragua Temple is rising brick by brick over the center of the roof. The main floor concrete walls are being coated, and pilaster frames are being attached. The front portico is in place, which features arched entryways and quatrefoil openings. The exterior walls for the ancillary building have been erected, and framing for the pitched roof is underway.
