YOU'RE TEMPTED. WHAT DO YOU DO ?

Any Christian or human that claims to be over spiritual and can't be tempted by certain things is seriously deceiving their self.

Have you forgotten that we are born of flesh? What makes you a Christian is the spirit of God in you but that doesn't stop temptations from arising because the devil is never relenting.

You have the choice to make when it comes to temptation, either to succumb or resist.

And how do you do that? Whenever you are faced with temptation, what do you do?

God's word says,"Your word have I hid in my heart. That I might not sin against thee".

The first thing is to guard our heart and that's through the word of God. Study,meditate and live by his word daily.

Remember how Jesus fought the temptations of the devil by repeatedly quoting the scripture that was hidden in his heart. That's what we need to do too.

The truth is sin is very deceptive, it promises what it doesn't give and gives what it never promised. Conquer deceit with the truth of God's word.

Another very important way of overcoming temptation is to FLEE. Avoid tempting situations. Avoid friends that lead you to temptation. Don't wait to start thinking. Leave quickly. Learn from Joseph and run.

To end with, becoming transparent with God will also help to resist temptation because at that point, you understand that you are sinning against God not man.

Just like Joseph, he said, "How can I do this great evil and sin against God". It wasn't about his master or what people would say. It was about God.

Tell God your sins and the temptations you have faced. He is faithful to forgive our sins. Ask him for help next time you are faced with such situations.

Temptations will come. Don't feel like you are too mature spiritually not to be tempted. Acknowledge that you are human. Flee from all forms of temptations.

Pray for strength. Surround yourself with people of value. Do what you have to do to overcome temptations. May God help us all.

The way God sees us is not the way we see ourselves most times that is why we decide to settle for less than we deserve.

God saw Gideon as a Mighty Man of Valor. But Gideon has just been living an ordinary life even though he has a higher calling.

The problem was how he has been seeing himself, this can be a result of his upbringing and his environment.

But the day God called him a Mighty Man Of Valor, everything changed. His assignment was opened up to him and we saw the great exploit he did in his time.

How have you been seeing yourself? This is a question you need to take personally.

Have you been seeing yourself through the lens of others?
Have you been seeing yourself through your past?

You need to change how you see yourself. This may be the reason you are still where you are today.

The results you are looking for will not come just like that, this is not the person that result will answer to. You are seeing yourself below what you are seeking so that results won't answer to you.

I encourage you to start seeing yourself from the lens of God. See yourself through the word of God. He has everything planned out for you.

The plans God has for you are of good and not evil, they are of greatness and not mediocrity, they are of peace and not sadness, they are of abundance and wealth and not of lack.

Are you seeing yourself as someone who can access all these possibilities? Oh yes, you can.

You have a higher calling.
You have a generation to serve.
You have a great destiny.
God sees you differently from men.
