TRANSFORMING NEWBORN CARE AT ST. LUKE'S ANGLICAN HOSPITAL, WUSASA, ZARIA

At St. Luke's Anglican Hospital Wusasa we are committed to reducing maternal morbidity through our reorganized Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU).

In line with the vision of the Primate in setting up the Health and Medical Taskforce a lot has been put in place at our health facility.

Our Achievements over the past one year;
- Establishment of a Functional and Dedicated Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) for comprehensive neonatal care.
- Introduction of Evidence-Based Clinical Protocols to enhance the quality and safety of newborn care.
- Strengthening of Neonatal Services Close to Home, providing timely, accessible, and life-saving care for babies and their families.
- Promoting Continuous Professional Development through regular training and capacity building for healthcare staff.
- Installed Modern Medical Equipment to improve diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of sick and premature newborns.

St. Luke's Anglican Hospital, Wusasa, Zaria, Kaduna State, remain dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality, and evidence-based healthcare—giving every newborn the best possible start in life.

We wish His Grace The Most Rev Dr Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba and other delegates a successful 3rd Anglican Health summit 2026.
