SUNDAY SERVICE SERMON

Theme for 2026: Year of Distinction
January Theme: Month of Uncommon Distinction
Sermon Topic: The Meaning of Distinction and Uncommon Distinction
Minister: Pastor Nyingasom Cephas
Anchor Scripture: Psalm 45:7

Pastor Nyingasom Cephas began the teaching by emphasizing that understanding the meaning of distinction and uncommon distinction is foundational. According to him, this understanding is necessary from the beginning of the year so believers can remain focused, intentional, and determined as they work toward walking in distinction throughout 2026.

DEFINITION OF DISTINCTION
Distinction refers to:
A noticeable difference
Being set apart
Being identified by divine approval and excellence
Uncommon Distinction goes beyond the ordinary:
It is not what everyone experiences
It is a result of alignment, obedience, and divine favor
It is heaven’s mark upon a person’s life.

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
Psalm 45:7
“You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.”

This scripture reveals that distinction is a reward for loving righteousness and hating evil. The oil of gladness represents divine joy, honor, and elevation above others.

INTERPRETATION OF PSALM 45:7
Joy is the atmosphere of heaven
Joy is an attribute of victory
David prayed for the restoration of joy after realizing he lost it through sin
Joy is one of the keys God has given mankind as proof of victory
Joy is an extension of God’s Kingdom
Whenever the devil encounters genuine joy, he flees
Joy, therefore, is not emotional excitement but spiritual authority.

ILLUSTRATIVE SCRIPTURES & BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF DISTINCTION
1. Abraham – Galatians 5:6
Distinguished by faith working through love
His obedience separated him from his generation
2. Noah – Genesis 6:3
Distinguished by righteousness in a corrupt world
Obedience preserved him and his household
3. Enoch – Genesis 5:24
Distinguished by walking with God
His intimacy with God translated him without death
4. Caleb – Book of Numbers
Distinguished by a different spirit
Followed God fully when others doubted
5. Job – Job 22:19
Distinguished by integrity and perseverance
God restored and honored him after testing
6. David
Distinguished by a heart after God
Maintained joy, worship, and repentance.

KEY TEACHING POINT
Distinction is closely tied to obedience.
To God, carrying out your divine assignment equals obedience.

QUESTIONS POSED BY THE PREACHER
What is the assignment God has given you that you are yet to do?
What is God expecting you to do this year (2026)?
Have you been neglecting:
Your spouse?
Your children?
Your parents?
Your neighbors?
Your church?
Your God-given responsibilities?
Neglecting divine assignments delays distinction.
CONCLUSION
Uncommon distinction is not accidental.
It is the result of:
Righteous living
Obedience to God
Faithfulness to divine assignments
Maintaining joy as a sign of victory
As believers enter the Year of Distinction, God is calling His people to align, obey, and walk intentionally so they may stand out by His grace.

SUNDAY SERVICE
THEME FOR THE YEAR 2026
Year of Distinction
Month of Uncommon Distribution

SERMON TOPIC

Walking with the Integrity of the Heart
Minister: Senior Pastor Samson Kaliwa

SERVICE OVERVIEW
The church service was held under the 2026 annual theme “Year of Distinction” and the January emphasis “Month of Uncommon Distribution.” The service was marked by deep teaching, spiritual reflection, and a special family dedication.

SERMON SUMMARY
Senior Pastor Samson Kaliwa began with a recap of the previous Bible study from Isaiah 65, emphasizing that God is a God of distinction who separates those who serve Him from those who do not. He highlighted that God does not treat everyone the same but distinguishes obedience from disobedience and faithfulness from compromise.
The Pastor further illustrated this truth using the story of Noah, noting that Noah was distinguished in his generation because he walked with God and found grace in His sight.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION
The sermon was anchored on the following scriptures:
Revelation 3:8–10 – Teaching that God honors faithfulness and integrity by opening doors that no one can shut and preserving those who keep His word.
2 Chronicles 16:9 – Emphasizing that God searches the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him.
Pastor Samson emphasized that God is actively seeking men and women who walk with integrity of heart and that such integrity attracts divine strength, favor, and distinction.
BIBLICAL ILLUSTRATIONS USED
Daniel (Daniel 6:3–27):
Daniel was distinguished above others because of an excellent spirit. Despite opposition and persecution, he remained faithful, and God vindicated him.
Job (Job 2:3; Job 42):
God testified about Job as a blameless and upright man. The congregation was challenged with the question of whether God could testify the same way about them. Job’s integrity led to divine restoration.
Caleb and Joshua (Numbers 14:24):
While others doubted God, Caleb and Joshua followed Him wholeheartedly. Caleb was described by God as having a different spirit and was distinguished among his generation.
CALL TO COMMITMENT
Pastor Samson issued a strong call to self-examination, declaring that God is drawing a line between His people and those who oppose Him. The congregation was challenged to evaluate their level of commitment, integrity, and willingness to stand for God even when it is costly.
CONCLUSION AND ADMONITION
The sermon concluded with an exhortation that God desires to make a difference in the lives of His people, but they must be ready. Reference was made to Jeremiah 3:15, encouraging the congregation to receive instruction from God-appointed leaders. This was reinforced with Hebrews 13:17, calling the church to obedience and submission to spiritual leadership.

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT: BABY NAMING CEREMONY
During the service, Mr. and Mrs. Belembo presented their child before the Lord for naming and dedication. The Senior Pastor officially named the child:
Joshua Barka Belembo
The naming ceremony was attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers who joined in celebrating and supporting the Belembo family.

OVERALL IMPRESSION
The service was spiritually impactful, emphasizing integrity, obedience, and faithfulness as keys to divine distinction. The congregation was encouraged to walk wholeheartedly with God in preparation for the manifestations promised in the Year of Distinction.

Sunday Service

Month of Returning Glory to God

Topic: He Who Knows the Glory of God
Minister: Evangelist Peace Nicholas

Evangelist Peace Nicholas opened the message with a profound truth: “What you don’t know cannot profit you.” She explained that when we lack understanding of something’s value, we cannot appreciate or benefit from it. In the same way, many believers fail to experience the fullness of God’s glory because they do not truly know its significance.

Key Scriptures & Insights

Malachi 1:6–8

God speaks about honour—“A son honours his father, and a servant his master…”
The evangelist emphasized that God is asking us today: What is His worth in our lives? What place does He occupy in our hearts as Christians?
If we truly know His glory, our lives will naturally reflect honour toward Him.

Mark 12:28–31

Jesus identifies the greatest commandments:

1. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2. Love your neighbour as yourself.
Knowing the glory of God begins with loving Him fully and above all else.

Matthew 22:1–2

The parable of the wedding feast reveals God’s invitation into intimacy and fellowship. Recognizing His glory should provoke a response—coming willingly into His presence.

Psalms 42:1–2

Just as the deer pants for water, David thirsted for God deeply. Evangelist Peace urged the congregation to emulate this hunger—desiring God relentlessly and seeking His presence daily.

Psalms 16:11

“In Your presence is fullness of joy…”
She highlighted that our relationship with God is revealed in how we spend our time—our day, our moments—with Him. Glory is not found in routine but in relationship.

Admonition

The evangelist concluded with a heartfelt call:
Do not serve God or obey Him out of pressure or compulsion. True honour comes from a willing and joyful heart.
Those who know the glory of God delight in doing His will because their hearts are aligned with Him.

SUNDAY SERVICE

Month of Great Grace

Topic: Knowing the Price of Grace

Minister: Pastor Samson Kaliwa

Pastor Samson Kaliwa began by stating:

“If you see grace and value it, you will experience great grace.”

He explained that understanding the price of grace is key to experiencing it. Many believers live below the level of grace available to them simply because they do not know its value or cost.

Key Scripture

📖 1 Corinthians 6:20

“For God bought you with a high price; so you must honor God with your body.”

This verse reminds us that grace is not cheap it was purchased at a great price through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Main Points

1. Grace Has a Price

Grace is free to us, but it cost God everything.

When we understand the cost, we treat grace with reverence and gratitude.

Without knowing its price, we may take it for granted.

2. Examples of Those Who Valued Grace

King Solomon:
Solomon showed his value for God’s presence and favor by offering a thousand burnt offerings (1 Kings 3:4). His sacrifice demonstrated deep gratitude and recognition of God’s grace.

Joshua and Caleb:
When others doubted God’s promise, Joshua and Caleb believed in His power. Their faith showed they valued the grace and favor of God over fear and human reasoning.

Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:5–10):
Paul counted all his achievements and status as worthless compared to knowing Christ. This shows that true grace leads us to value Christ above all earthly gains.

3. Warning Against Taking Grace for Granted

📖 Hebrews 10:29 warns believers not to treat God’s grace lightly or insult the Spirit of grace.

When we misuse or neglect grace, we dishonor the great sacrifice of Jesus.

4. God’s Desire

God wants us to experience great grace, not just ordinary grace.

But to walk in it, we must see, value, and respond to grace with gratitude, faith, and obedience.

Prayer

Lord, open our eyes to know what great grace is. Help us to understand its price and value it deeply. Let our lives reflect gratitude for the grace You have given us.”

RECAP OF OUR SUNDAY SERVICE

Seminar Summary: "Recognised in Heaven" Pastor Samson Kaliwa

Instead of a traditional sermon, Pastor Samson Kaliwa held a powerful seminar focused on faithfulness and divine recognition. He emphasized that when Heaven sees a faithful person, God releases His grace, and the earth responds to that person. God is constantly watching and searching for the faithful, loyal, and committed.

Main Message:

“Heaven recognises faithfulness. God's eyes are searching for those who are loyal. When you are faithful, grace is released, and you gain both heavenly and earthly recognition.”

Biblical Illustrations of the Faithful:

1. Noah (Genesis 6:8-9)

Why God chose him: Noah was righteous, blameless, and walked with God in a corrupt generation.

Lesson: Righteousness in the midst of wickedness attracts God's favor.

2. Enoch (Hebrews 11:5, Genesis 5:24)

Why God chose him: Enoch walked with God and pleased Him, so he was taken up without experiencing death.

Lesson: Intimacy with God leads to eternal reward.

3. Job (Job 1:1, 8)

Why God chose him: Job was blameless and upright, fearing God and shunning evil.

Lesson: Even in trials, faithfulness stands out and is recognized by God and the enemy.

4. Cornelius (Acts 10:1-4)

Why God chose him: A devout man who prayed and gave generously—his actions came up as a memorial before God.

Lesson: Faith and generosity move heaven, even before salvation.

5. Abraham (Genesis 12, Romans 4:20-22)

Why God chose him: Abraham believed God, obeyed without question, and was called God's friend.

Lesson: Obedience and faith open the door to covenant blessings.

6. Solomon (1 Kings 3:3-13)

Why God chose him: Solomon loved the Lord and asked for wisdom, not riches.

Lesson: A heart for God and selfless desire for wisdom leads to favor and abundance.

Interactive Segment:

Pastor Kaliwa invited those who believed they were recognised in Heaven to come forward and explain why.
Only a few came forward.

He challenged those who stayed behind, stating they were likely struggling with an identity crisis and needed to discover and walk in their true identity in Christ.

Take-Home Points:

1. You are a candidate of Heaven – You are not ordinary. You are part of God's eternal plan.

2. You are known and recognised in Heaven – Your faith, actions, and life are visible before God.

3. Read and reflect on 2 Peter 1 – This passage outlines qualities that make a believer fruitful and effective, ending with a reminder of our calling and election.

Final Charge:
"We must do something to enjoy great great grace. Heaven responds to those who take action in faithfulness."

SUNDAY SERVICE SUMMARY

Theme for the Month: Heavenly Recognition
Text: 2 Timothy 2:19–20
Ministering: Apostle Andreas Othniel
Supporting Minister: Pastor Samson Kaliwa

📖 Key Scriptures

2 Timothy 2:19–21 – God's foundation is sealed and unmovable. He knows those who are His. To be recognized by God, one must depart from iniquity.

Ephesians – The Holy Spirit is God’s seal on us.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – Love for God gives access to divine revelation.

Psalm 50:5 – God gathers those who make a covenant with Him through sacrifice.

1 Kings 3:3 – Solomon’s love and sacrifice pleased God, and God responded by granting him favor.

🔥 Main Sermon Points

1. God’s Recognition Is Not Automatic

God's foundation is sealed, and He knows His own.

The seal (Holy Spirit) is permanent — it cannot be moved.

For anyone to be recognised by God, they must reject iniquity.

Your vessel status is a personal choice:

Be a vessel unto honour or

A vessel unto dishonour (2 Timothy 2:20–21).

2. Biblical Example: Moses, Miriam, and Aaron

When Moses married someone outside God’s instruction, God still stood by him.

This shows that God can break protocol for someone He recognises.

Miriam and Aaron, despite being leaders, were rebuked because God recognised Moses more intimately.

🗝️ What Must a Man Do to Be Recognised by God?

1. Love God (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Love grants access to the deep things of God.

God records acts of love — they never go unnoticed.

Genuine love for God makes us transparent, open, and obedient.

Love is more than emotion; it’s seen in our actions and choices.

2. Sacrifice (Psalm 50:5)

God desires heart-based sacrifices, not just what we offer outwardly.

Sacrifice is the basis of covenant with God.

Sacrifice shows our priority and commitment to God.

🔚 Conclusion by Pastor Samson Kaliwa

Referenced 1 Kings 3:3:
Solomon loved the Lord, and his extravagant sacrifice moved God to offer him anything he desired.

Many Christians today lack genuine love for God.

But God knows those who truly love Him.

🙏 Key Takeaway

To be recognised by God:

Reject sin.

Choose to be a vessel of honour.

Love God deeply and sacrificially.

Live transparently and in covenant with Him.

God doesn't just look at the hand, He looks at the heart.
