House On The Rock Yenagoa

House On The Rock Yenagoa We are a Daughter church of House On The Rock Worldwide, with Pastor Paul Adefarasin as our senior Pastor. The Resident Pastor is Samuel Itamunoala

We believe in the power of God's Word to change lives and value the practical application of His Word to make a difference in who we are and what we do. Believing and obeying His message leads us in a discovery of real life and a hope for eternity. This is what the Bible teaches us, that Jesus Christ came as God's gift to the world with a message of good news. At House On The Rock, we communicate

this wonderful news of Jesus Christ through the various ministries of the church which include ministry to children, youth, adults, families and to a world full of hurting people, lost causes and broken dreams. We recognize the need for a real connection with God and believe in the powerful prayer based delivery of God's Word under a peculiar anointing to bring hope to the despairing, healing to the broken and strength to the weary.

Preacher: Mr. Tonyi Amba-Ambaiowei
Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Topic: COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.

One thing God expect us to do is to count our blessings.
When going through challenges, give thanks to God.
Count your blessings not only when things are perfect but also in times of trouble.
What looks like a problem sometimes is God working behind the scene
There is a season for everything (Eccl 3:1)

Psalm 103:1-5 - Bless the lord oh my soul and forget not His benefit, the benefit of God manifest in His healings, protections, provision.
Luke 17:11-19 - Don't just receive His blessings, recognise it and appreciate it.
Psalm 30:5 - When you are sick, reconcile to God.
Exodus 16:1, 1 Samuel 2:1-2 - When you praise Him, He will double your blessings
Act 16:25-26 - Instead of focusing on the pains, praise God.
Gratitude is not based on circumstance but it is based on choice.
James 1:2-3 - When you go through hard times, it changes your character and gives capacity.
Job 1`:20-21 - Even in loss, Job remember his past blessings.

Topic: The Blueprint For Prayer
Bible Ref: James 5:13-16

Everything in life has a blueprint
Jesus laid down a blueprint or manner to pray (Luke 11:1)
Prayer is heavenly license to heavenly influence.
Prayer is not a religion.
Prayer is given to mankind as authority to perform things on earth.
Prayer is reminding God on His word about what He wants to do on earth (matt 6:9-13)
The word 'Amen' means so be it.
Matthew 6:9 shows the manner on how to pray
Prayer is not a personal concern but cooperate concern
Prayer is not for selfish reasons
Abba means source and sustainer
What men give to you or job is not the source, it is only a channel for provision.
You have to get to the point where your dependency is on Heaven.
When you are connected to God will always have resources
Hallow means Royal protocol
Prayer should be filled with gratitude first and not prayer request.
We pray for the whole colony of God to come on earth, so we can be one.
God does not want you to be wealthy but to be a commonwealth.
You submit your personal will for His corporate will to come to pass (Luke 22:42)
God wants to see His culture manifested in all aspect e.g. government, business, education, teachings, sports, politics, athletics.
He want heaven on earth not earth on heaven.
The culture of heaven should be in every area of life.
The economy of heaven should be on earth (Matt. 6:11)
In the kingdom you only take what you need, because wealth is common.
Daily means protection against stress (Matt. 6:34)
Do not let tomorrow stress you out
God will always give you according to your management level.
In the kingdom, wealth is currency
Prayer is not an option but necessity and command
Prayer is the more talked about but less practiced
Prayer is done to gain authority
Prayer is a partnership between God and mankind
Earth depends on heaven to get things done while heavens depends on earth to get things done (matt 18:19)
If you do not meet to agree, God cannot release what He wants to do on earth
Prayer is a petition- it is a legal permit/demand or appeal based on legal right
When prayer becomes effective.

There are moments when words are not enough… today was one of those moments.

Our Communion Service was more than a gathering — it was a time of reflection, gratitude, and deep connection with God. As we shared the bread and the cup, we were reminded of a love so powerful that it changed everything.

Hearts were touched. Faith was renewed. Lives were strengthened.

These photos capture just a glimpse of the beautiful moments we shared together in His presence. Truly, it was a service we will carry in our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who worshipped with us today.

Ministering: Pastor Samuel Itamunoala
Topic: The Blood Covenant
Bible Ref: Isaiah 53:1-12

In the ancient world, the blood binds two people together.
God took away your weakness and took it upon Jesus (Isaiah 53: 6)
You are a covenant partner with God, you have exchange your weakness for strength (2 Corinth 5:21)
In the mind of God, He keeps no record of your past (2 Corinth 5:17)
Christ integrity is wrapped up in the covenant (John 14:14)
In blood covenant, the two parties are identified as ONE (Gal. 2:20).
Jesus being the High priest of our confession, takes what we say, and make it come to pass.
Jesus died on our behalf, He died as 'us'
We are redeemed and reconnected by the blood of the lamb.

Seven places Jesus shed His blood
(1) On the mount of olive beside Gethsemane (Luke 22:44)
- The ground was not designed to receive blood but to receive seed.
- The correction of atonement must begin where it started.
- The tears was shed in the garden of Gethsemane to destroy evil altar of toiling and sweating.
(2) When He was struck (punched) on the face (Luke 2:6)
- He was struck to restore your glory inorder to remove every lies of the devil.
(3) When His beards was plucked out (Isaiah 50: 5-6, Gen. 3:8)
- Shame is number one demon that does not allow our relationship with God.
(4) When He was scourged (Matt. 27:26)
- When Jesus was scourged, He was astoning for evil altars.
(5) On His brow (Matt. 27: 29)
- When you understand the covenant of the blood, It is impossible for God to say 'NO' (Gen. 3:17)
- Poverty was never God's plan, we were cursed by Adam's brow but redeemed by Jesus brow.
(5)When they crucified Him and His hand and head nailed on the cross (Matt. 27:35, Psalm 1:3).
(7) On the cross when He slept, and after He said 'it is finished', and He bowed His head (John 19:34)

Minstering: Pastor Samuel Itamunoala
Topic: THE POWER OF CHOICES
Bible Ref: Heb. 11:23-27

The choice you make in certain situation will differentiate between life and death.
No prophetic word will help in choosing.
Prophetic words are said in other to know what God want to do and allowing choices (Deut. 28:1)
It takes making decisions to rise and fall in life.
The formular of choices is not to learn it before you experience it.
You are where you are as a reflection of the choices you made.
Excuses are tools of incompetence.
Excuses and offences does not give you capacity to make good decision.
We were born looking like our parent but we die by our decisions.
God wants us to choose right, lead us in choosing right, choose us to choose right but would not force us in choosing right.
If He forces us, it is known as 'Manipulation of Will' which is witchcraft
Your decision have more implications beyond generations whether good or bad.
Every decision you make now will affect generation (to the fourth generation).
Your belief become your thought; then action; then value, and finally destiny (Prov. 4:23)
When you fail to make decision you will be stuck and remain in same place.
Choice is making a decision when faced with two or more options.
The moments you are faced with options, life becomes complicated.

IMPORTANT CHOICES TO MAKE IN LIFE
(1) Choose what to feed on (Gen. 2:15-17): this include what to wear, read, and words that comes into your system.
Your body need spiritual food, your mind need mental food.
(2) Choose what comes your way e.g. trouble, tragedy, and all.
You cannot rise beyond the way you see yourself.
(3) Choose who to welcome into your life (Gen. 2:21-23)
Friendship is by choice not by force.

LIFE CHANGING CHOICES MOSES MADE (Heb. 11:23)
(1) Refused to be defined by others (Heb 11:24)
(2) He could admit he is a Jewish which would admit he is being a slave (Rom. 12:2)
(3) Choose what God value over culture value (Heb. 11:26)
(4) Choose to live by faith not by fear.

KEYS TO ENJOYING GOD
(1) Surrender your life to God completely (past, present and future)
(2) Stop listening to voices of fear around you (Rom. 14:23)
(3) Base your hope on the promises of God (Psalm 56:3-4, Matt 6:25-33)

Ministering: Pastor Samuel Itamunoala
Topic: Overcoming the enemy
Bible Ref: 1 John 4:2-4

It is not up to you to defeat the devil, but up to you to defeat an enemy that has been defeated.
Whether a Christian or not, you have to learn and understand how to defeat the devil.
The number one weapon of the devil is 'Ignorance' and he is our number one adversary.
Jesus is the ultimate acid test to the devil.
Jesus not only spoke to the devil but also warned us to be careful of the devices of the devil.
According to the scripture, satan was originally called 'Lucifer' meaning light bearer .
in Hebrew, light bearer means reference to the light of God.
Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28: 11-19, God created lucifer to safeguard/protect God's Holiness and he still has that gift.

Sermon: The Unstoppable Force Of Faith
Text: Hebrews 11:1-3

Whatever you become is as a result of what you hear.
Your present manifestattion and experience is a result of your past aggregation.

TWO MAJOR QUALITIES OF FAITH
1. Integrity (Numbers 23:19)
2. Ability (Ephesians 3:20)

Faith is the name given to the action you take as being obedient to an instruction.
Faith is an unstoppable force in the spirit.
Faith will always convert the word to power. (Mark 11:23-24)
Faith is being fully persuaded of the truth till you triumph. (Romans 4:20-21)
Faith produces confession and confession without doubt produces manifestation.
There is a time gap between believing and receiving, this is called the waiting season.
The law of faith requires you to believe that you have received while waiting.
If you tolerate fear, you contaminate your faith.
Just like faith, fear also comes by hearing but by hearing the contradiction of the word of God. (Job 3:25, Romans 10:17)

Preacher: Min. Biboere Koinyan
Text: Exodus 23:25
Topic: Benefit of kingdom stewardship

The kingdom of God is described in two ways, which are:
(1) Son
(2) Servant

* A son/child is entitled to benefit, inheritance, blessings of being a child of God but as you grow into maturity, you grow into servant/steward of God where you take up responsib‎ilities and you are entitled to 'Reward'
* When you get born again, you take up the class of a Son of God
* As servant/steward, you are promoters of the Kingdom of God
* As a child of God you are entitled to promises, but a servant comes into convenant (Agreement with God).
* A child of God has everything done for him while a steward is a protector, defender, fighter, provider and worker.
* A steward is working not because of the benefit(blessings) but because of the love of the master.

AREAS OF KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP
1. Soul winning/discipleship (John 15:16): When you become born again, you are recruited into the ministry of reconciliation
2. Stand in the gap in prayer and intercession (Luke 2:23)
3. Pray for your pastors and His ministry.
